So does Xenosaga, VSM. Make her sit through that. What's the worst that can happen!?

Chaos Wars- Just got Beyond the Grave. Game is still playable and at least tolerable without the dub. Translation is still meh though. Currently using Hyoda, Hiro, Rin, Yuri, and Okita. Hiro is currently equipped with a Dirty Hoe. Tee hee.

The gameplay... not bad. Needs to flow faster though, as well as be a little less random with the turn order (doing ANYTHING tweaks the turn order massively... even nothing!), but otherwise, I like the support system.

Bad Super, bad.

TMNT, X360 version - Beaten. It was $10 new, so I figured I'd pick it up. Game was mediocre, but I've certainly played worse licensed games.

Playing game's with family is funny. My mom - playing Crash Bandicoot *run run run run* Me - Mum, watch out it's a hole. Jump. Mum, mum! Ooops *slaps head* She's also watched a few Final Fantasy games. She likes Final Fantasy X. I think I got her to play a bit of FFIX once, she said that looked the least complicated. Weird and wacky observations from my mom - on FFIX upon watching the FMV where Garnet looks sad and Steiner notices "Aww how cute. Is he in love with her?" >_> On FFVII - "What the hell is that girl wearing!?", "Her name is Tifa and she's a barmaid" "Oh my god what a hoe!" <_< Most of my family also thought Tifa was Barret's wife for some reason o_o

PS - Disclaimer - Don't bite my head off with any anti Aerith remarks. I'm only saying what my mum thought not what I think >_>

So I started a new playthrough of Fallout 2... because NMA had a Fallout 2 Restoration Patch up that puts in a bunch of shit that got taken out of the game. I'm up to New Reno so far. My favorite part to this point is probably meeting the crazy old guy in Vault City who greets you with "Been a long time."

Old Joe tells you, "Yeah, we sure gave the Master hell, didn't we? Shit fell apart after you left, though. Had to
move around and change my name. Where'd you end up?"

Then you realize: holy shit, this is Ian, when he apologizes to you for shooting you in the back, and mentions that he and Tycho went looking for you after you vanished. He then gives you a Desert Eagle, which the Vault Dweller presumably gave him, to keep you safe if things get outta control. It was awesome, that early in the game.

Chaos Wars- Game finally got some challenge. Shelly spamming Pain over and over hurts, especially in a long string of enemy turns where they keep comboing. Yuri SMASH though.

Chaos Wars:

Somewhere in chapter 7...

I got stuck in an earlier fight because I stopped leveling up Hyoma and he ended up in a 1v1 match. >_>

(nothing that some swapped gear, God's breath abuse, and tons of restorative itesm couldn't fix!)

So, after that debacle I decided to keep Hyoma leveled up with my main wrecking crew.

That team consist of: Yuri, Carmine, Grave, Rin, Zeon, Kurando, Hyoma, Alice, Hiro, and Takeru (because in this sort of jumbled up mess of a collaboration you NEED one guy that turns into a mecha warrior!)

I am in the 30s as far as levels go. Still have yet to face anythingthat challenging, though the bosses with instant death attacks are a little frustrating.

Um.  I can give you mid-level drinks instead?

And soon enough, high-level drinks, too.  Just tell me what you want and send a little meat because I have to buy the extra components, since I only get 3/day.

Eh. I was mainly grumbling since I want to grab the meatsmithing quest, myself. How much are you talking cost-wise? Also selling your body to provide me with income is still the better option I tell you.

Is this game so horribly translated that Meatsmithing is the word for cooking, or is there some serious Silence of the Lambs shit going on?

Meatsmithing is the term for making weapons. Out of meat.

Not badly translated. Just a huge parody.

Yeah Kingdom of Loathing is supposed to be humourous, except for the fact that it is parodying stuff through an MMO format, which defeats the fucking point.

Pokemon Emerald: Holy crap the betting man rules.  16+ BP per successful run through an event?  You can just forfeit to reset the enemy trainers back to crappy stuff too, so any facility except the Battle Factory or Battle Pyramid can work so long as you're willing to give up whatever streak you have going.  I have nearly 300 BP now, and that's after spending 128 on Choice Band and Brightpowder.

My Battle Tower streak got snapped at 40, a Heracross killed Metagross with EQ and easily swept the remainder of my team with Megahorn.  It's looking like an insoluble problem unless I change my team around, and I can't think of any good Heracross counters that'd be a good fit (well, there weren't many good Hera counters to begin with...).  Dunno if I feel like going for a longer streak anytime in the future.

Got to 5 runs through the Battle Pike, but it took some lucky breaks with healing.  Problem is that I usually pick the trainer battles when available, but now the enemies are getting good enough that my team gets worn down over time, especially Metagross.  It took healing rooms to get through that fifthj run, which means I can forget about the Gold symbol here.

Lost 3 times while trying at the Battle Arena; got swepted once each by a Gorebyss and a Kingdra, and another time a Kingdra weakened me to the point where a Steelix could finish off Metagross.  Water types are a huge problem for me here since Latias doesn't fare well in the fast-paced format and my current replacement for it (Swellow) is horribly frail.  I'm thinking that using a Heracross in place of Swampert would do the trick, but I dunno if I feel like training another Pokemon just for one more symbol.

Battle Dome I got my first and probably only gold symbol at.  The game threw a ton of Water types at me in the later rounds, probably due to Metagross being in the first slot.  Latias managed to take on all of them except one Starmie who outsped it and got a freeze on the first try.  Luckily it apparantly lacked Surf so Metagross could come in and Shadow Ball it fairly safely.

On the tenth run the game opted to pull out the big guns and gave me a Latias/Regice/Metagross team for the opening match, which was O_o.  "A team with average potential", indeed!  That took some work to beat, especially since the trainer even bothered to switch for once.  Next two opponents I was better suited to handle (Tyranitar/Claydol/Flygon and Salamence/Altaria/Flygon), Swampert would've swept them both if the latter team's Flygon didn't be a dick and randomly know Giga Drain.  As for the Dome Ace, I correctly predicted he'd lead with Swampert but accidentally sent my own Swampert out instead of Latias as I was planning.  Luckily the AI opted for Mirror Coat first turn; my Swampert was faster, but 3HKO'd with EQ and got 2HKO'd back.  Next came Metagross, who Protected as my Swampert Chesto-rested, sealing my victory, as Metagross will never ever get past full HP Swampert.  Three cheers for Gatewalker the Swampert!  He did most of the work against the last two brains I faced, Anabel and Brandon, as well.

After a basic look-see through costs, I am forced to conclude attempting to use the meatsmithing system for profit is an incredibly stupid idea.

Grefter, is there an inventory editor I can use to put the quest items I need in my bag?

Yeah there should be.  http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/Torment/index_editors.php Torment Hack from Sorcerers should do the job.

What is crashing and have you tried deleting your cache folder for the game this time?  The stored area data on your hard drive might be corrupted, clearing that should make the game reload the data from disc (or the disc folder on your hard drive even) which would clear it up if it is a specific area crashing.

While checking for Torment save game editor I spotted this at PPG  BG2 blah blah blah http://www.pocketplane.net/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=119&Itemid=118

My copy of Apollo Justice has come in, so I've been playing that in between sessions of beating down Capcom for releasing the series out of order. Currently slightly into case 4. Fun fun. I had been expecting to dislike Apollo for reasons I don't recall but he seems workable enough. Mostly just the same old so far and since it hasn't gotten old yet, it's all good. Why did they take presenting witnesses out? Also needs more Gumshoe.

Also beat Wario MoD, in the sense that I beat the boss. Haven't played through all the 'secret' episodes... did the first of them, not sure I care much for the style. My brother didn't really think much of them either... but on the other hand, I need to get more treasure >_> this is a conundrum.

1,000 per drink.  That's how much the drink components cost in the mall.

Pass for now, I get a good few number of drink quests from White Lightning and they're pretty cheap. The downside is non-existent (ohnoes blind! ...right.) So eh yeah, thanks but not right now. Idly, you need anything supermeatsmithed, I can help. Might as well, since I'm not gonna use it much for trying to make a profit off it. Bah.

Brawl - grinding for challenges.  Think I've played enough of it now to give it a fair rating: 7/10.  It's similar to Katamari Damacy 2 in that they tried to add so much to it, they took away from the simplicity that worked in the previous version.  New stages are mostly horrible (exception: Warioware).  There are some good new characters (Pokemon Trainer, Snake, Sonic), and some more clones/why did they bother characters (Wolf, Lucas, Olimar).  Subspace Emissary is more annoying than old adventure mode.

Pokemon Pearl:  Pal Parking/Breeding/Leveling to get more Pokemon.  Over 400 seen, 350 owned.

Lucas is horribly better then Ness in almost every way shape or form. The only thing I dislike about Lucas is his grab, other then that he has range, power, and speed over Ness. (not to mention durability?)

In any case, I have come to the conclusion that Brawl is meant for more then 2 players. It takes almost no skill to play the game competitively like Melee did. It's fun as hell with a group, but 1v1 gets old fast.
