DMC4 again: Legendary Dark Knight mode kicks ass. It's the hard mode as far as difficulty of individual enemies, except that the number of them is increased by anywhere from 5 to 20 times depending on the area. For instance, the end of level 3 usually has three of the game's tougher grunt types as a miniboss. In LDK, you fight about thirty. At once.

Fire Emblem 7: Finished.

Fun enough for a handheld game, although its plot was EVEN MORE EPIC than FE8's. Not something that should have surprised me but its pretty miserable. Gameplay... I can see why people like it, its just not enough to keep me into the game. Permadeath still kinda turns me off to it, especially when its induced by a long range Berserk attack that hits one of your stronger PCs and lets them loose amongst your healers. Not fun. Regardless, a game I'll probably just forget and move on. FE10 should be far better by comparison after this! Thats a plus.

Suikoden 5: Finally done. It took a while to grab all 108 stars, but its done. FAQ bait indeed. Summary of my opinion: Story's very good, characters were very much awesome. I think everyone from the main cast wins, except Prince since he's mute. A few others don't shine like Galleon, but the rest such as Georg, Sialeeds, Lyon and Miakis were all very well done.

Gameplay is fine. Challenge fails until the final boss though. Its like AI2 all over again! 95% of the game is cake, last 5% which is the final dungeon and boss are actually challenging. Still, not having played a single Suiko before, it was a nice intro. Although the fact that "spam big elemental damage" plus the fact that you get lots of broken twinking opportunities makes this like a cross between AI2 and AT altogether.

Overall...probably a 7/10 game. Score brought down due to some stupid polish issues. The ship sailing is a really big one. I still am not really understanding why they decided to do it. Another one is moving Luserina away from Ceras Lake Castle after the retaking of Sol Falena. God damn it, just place her in the same place as the blinking mirror. There were a couple of other things too like the retarded loading times, but game probably would be at least 0.5 higher if not for these things. Still quite fun (and frustrating!) for the most part.

And now, to decide what to play or continue next.

Onimusha:  Beaten, got a B rank.  Final wasn't hard except for his damned satellite laser beams that stunlock you to death.  Samanosuke Extra costume is incredible.

EO2:  Floor 20, finishing up some quests before I proceed further.

Tales of Phantasia PSX: Been playing this off and on for a while. Fun game, a definite improvement over the SNES version in a lot of ways. Just finished up the extra stuff by beating Pluto (in normal mode, annoyingly - I've played through the rest of the game in Hard, but even with the Saint Rapier and Big Bang I can't dish out nearly enough damage to beat him on Hard). So now I guess it's time to slog through Moria one last time and smash Dhaos' face utterly.

Also, anybody know how Blade of Ascension's trigger works? I've only seen the "POWER" message come up once, and, naturally, I whiffed on the attack.

Hit Square, Triangle, and... X? Or was it Circle? at the same time when Cless hits the red spot of his life. It can combo from anything[including arcane artes] and does a SHITLOAD of damage.

It's Square, X and Circle, I know that. It's supposed to be when the word "POWER" flashes over Cless's TP bar, but like I said, that's only happened once. Maybe I'm dying too fast.

The message pops up once you reach 25% health or below, so it's not a very ample limit range to work with.

DMC1 Hard Mode: Got my ass kicked by Nelo Angelo 3 several times! Going to take some getting use to him, most annoying part is he's at the end of a relatively lengthy chapter.

FE10: Finished Part 4, onto the endgame arc!

Janaff and Ulki are awesome, that is all.  Anybody who antihypes Laguz in FE10 (assuming Royals are excluded) needs to be shot, since those two were among my most reliable PCs!

(of course, they were nowhere near my best, but when Tibarn and Elincia are among your PCs, that's not exactly an insult <_<)

It has 3 requirement: 1. having the title 2. Cless has his hp restored to max at least once during the fight (or start out max? don't remember exactly) 3. Have the hp drop below 25%

P4- I see, so Elizabeth likes Minato that much. Very well, I have some motivation to take on Margerat now.

FFL2/SaGa 2 Densetsu no Hihou (Normal Playthrough)
- At the Final Town in about 4 hours of gameplay. Yeah, it really isn't that hard. On the way it was just annoying, though. Odin went down after 4 Flare Book hits (of well over 1k damage, I bet Psycho Gun would do more). Minion was worse, he couldn't even kill my Robot. Stat grinding is going to be a lot harder from here on out, since the last world monsters inflict nasty status. Well, not nasty as it is annoying. HATE YOU, STONE! I should consider keeping Warning on one of my Mutants so I don't get UNEXPECTED ATTACK.

Though I do want P-Blast and O-All ;____;

Heh, figures. The one thing I didn't have time to do in that battle was heal. Works, though, and that was what I needed to beat the fight on Hard. Woo!

FINALLY uploaded an overdue video. I defeat Venus using only Punch. I think it's from after Race Circuit that I have to switch to things like Kick and X-Kick.

SO3 - Just beat Proclaimer. This game is a heck of a lot of fun. Cliff and Nel are total win, Fayt is okay, the rest of the characters are varying degrees of worthless. Albel is so obviously a stereotype mockery that it is awesome though. Nice bellyshirt dude.

SPOILARS if you actually give a shit about spoilers for a completely worthless plot arc

Ameena arc was just so pathetically worthless and stupid and completely trite in every way. Okay, you are deathly sick and you are going to walk a long ass way on a dubious lead from an old man (???) to see your childhood friend. And then Fayt is all like SCREW THE WAR FRIENDSHIP IS MORE IMPORTANT and god what the fuck is this shit. This bullshit pisses me off. It's like, can't you be even the slightest bit practical when a man is trying to prepare to save his people as a foreign country invades? Not LOL YOUR GIRLFRIEND WHEN YOU WERE 10 IS HERE, DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING AND VISIT HER!! So after that, Dion gets hit with LAZERS and kicks the bucket. The story then tells you AMEENA'S ONLY REASON TO GO ON IS THIS GUY SHE KNEW A LONG TIME AGO and then she dies of a broken heart. Five seconds after he dies. This is the stupidest arc ever.

Have you gotten to the Epic Plot Twist yet?
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

She's just about getting there. The epic plotz0rz twist0rz will probably offend her far less than Ameena shit, anyway. At least, the characters feel about as insulted as the players when confronted with it.

I am just disturbed about how similar Ameena dying of a broken heart and Fayt screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! is to Star Wars Episode 3. Now we know where George Lucas got the idea.

It is when you are trying to build a huge nuke/lightning gun to fire at AIRYGLYPH and the guy building the gun is secretly in love with a random flower girl on the street. Why this actually matters at all is another story.

Star ___ 3. Yeah, ripoff.

Ameena arc for some reason didn't super-offend me (I can't say why), but yeah it is objectively terrible. Way worse than Disc 2 plot. Fortunately most of the rest of SO3 is cool.
