So I MTed for a friend's guild's first BT run. The fights there are really well-designed, I have to say. One arbitrary gear check for tanks, one for DPS, and then you start getting in to the interesting shit. I have to say Gorefiend in particular is a really clever design.

Like I said.  Woosley = Good.  Kefka being the only thing the majority of people take out of FF6 = Bad.

Statement wasn't geared towards you, more just general rambling combined with vehement hate for all those "OMG WOOLSEY IS T3H suck!1!111 lolololol" purist morons who go out of their way to bash him without knowing a damned thing about translating, the Japanese language (eg how many people try to claim "Cefca" is more accurate than "Kefka"), actual hardware restrictions involved (letter/character limits anyone?) or how standards of the time FF6 was made was far different than standards now (yar halo thar NoA Censorship of the early/mid 90s), so yeah, don't take it personally or something.

I'm actually glad for the nerf in some cases, as it lets you plow through the trash faster.  It's just a shame at how badly Illidan got nailed though.

SN: Five hours later and I'm still messing with rooms. Archers are too much fun. Walnut is markedly less emo though still massively overcompensating.

Have you played around with the Gadgeteers or the Pyremages yet? Big groups of those are all kinds of fun/broken.

Note: Can't remember if that class was -actually- 'gadgeteer' or not... whatever - the ones with the red-riding-hood capes.

Gadgeteer was XF (but still qualifies for fun/broken!). Those were more like thieves in SN, I think.

SN had Saboteurs. Which are broken -if- you are overleveled. Their full MT attack is utter trash for damage unless it hits type weakness otherwise. Unit balance is rather good at normal levels; overleveling makes Clerics and units with big MT attacks better.

Currently working  on the Trade, but note pages are slow to get and I'm not particularly good at getting style points otherwise.

Using Epic Dog Urination Jutsu as you kill them gets you ~40 style points.  Use it on the same turn as a Note Page and you get about 70 points.

Yeah a month before expansion I think the nerfs are perfectly fine.  Also yeah there is some pretty cool design for the boss encounters in BT and Hyjal even (Some I wouldn't like to see repeated.  Kazrogal sounds like fail to me, interesting, but fail), it is content that I really am disappointed to not get to see first hand.  Sunwell sounds neat, but a bit to tightly tuned for my tastes for things I would do a great deal (pre-nerf anyway).

Yeah, the nerf is a brilliant idea, I think. It's keeping in step with letting people see the content once the top-end guilds have pushed through. Badges accomplished this, and now that we're at the end, let's let players buzzsaw through raids and see all the work they put in.

World of Warcraft: My tour de force of clearing all the old world instances solo finally hit a snag in Dire Maul (well, and Ulda, but not for difficulty reasons there). My gear's a little on the weak side, meaning I'm not quite putting out the damage I need to and, as a Rogue, I'm still fairly fragile, which means bosses are able to take a solid chunk out of me. Up until now, this hasn't been a problem, but fights are starting to get a lot tougher, most notably those with any sort of adds, which tend to tear through my poor Stamina and leather armor rather quickly.

What Captain K said.

Quote
I'd consider Wasteland Disease but, near as I can tell, I don't have have a way I can complete it currently. 15 difficulty 4 success Gen isn't currently doable for me.

All you need is 13 range and welcome to good burger. 13 range should be easy to get so you should have no problem but if you do then I believe you can use Snakeman on the mission.

BvS- I see no reason to go through burgerninja until new things are added to it so the Trade and wasteland it is. Trade lv 1 nearly reached and wastelands are open. I'd like to do more of both but currently in the hole and I had emo in the bucket before that.

...I'm still item farming with Wil and Irwin, but with Jack...

...He's currently an S3 Sp. Jonin (Gen) Legacy with Inner Wastelands unlocked, six bloodlines (haha Eye of the Storm and Power of Greass are awesome for being looping bloodlines), and is currently farming Ninja-Mas items to pass the time.

Also, it IS possible to easily pass the 15d/4s check...  If you fully enhance Attack on the Nervous System and hang out with The Rack.  That SHOULD bring the chakra cost of it down to 375.  There's also other free jutsu such as Nadeshiko's Goth Goth (that is EXPENSIVE on your stamina), the previously mentioned Welcome To Good Burger (that's what I used with Irwin to unlock Outskirts in S2), fully-enhanced Dance of the Crescent Moon (with a Sicko hangout), and since you're a WhiteEye, you also have Eight Trigrams Eleventy Billion Palms as an option (and it's decently cheap to enhance, too!  75K to learn since you're not a Jonin, and another 500K to fully enhance so it'll only cost 500 Chakra?  Yes!).  Redeye have the option of abusing Emosuke once they get up to Sp. Jonin for Emo2's Right in the Eye or (provided they're given the extra Billy Buckets) Emo3's Get In The Bucket.  Legacy have more chakra they can do stuff with, so all they need is a Rack hangout and that's instant win right there.

A LOT of this is assuming you have at least the Letter of Marque.  If you have that AND Plug Suit, well...  Passing Revenge becomes cake (two automatic Gen successes and the Sword Call, to be specific).

I'll say this:  scheduling hangouts is your best friend.

Silly me EDIT:  ANY bloodline can do The Rack hangout -> Attack on the Nervous System.  All it takes for WhiteEyes and RedEyes is using the Chicken Ramen while they're fully charged.

Extra edit:  Heck, if you need it, I'll even send you a Make-Out Mood Enhancer.  Just tell me if you want/need it.

Back in my first @3 playthrough, Muge was an ass and swept about half of my squad fodder with his OHKOing ALL of assholishness, that aside from the rest of the stage being a bastard. It's natural to be a slight bit cathartic when you have an even more decked out party blowing him up to bits.

Heh. I actually tend to forget about hanging out, since it happens so infrequently without some sort of outside interference (make-out mood enhancer, etc).

Anyhow, didn't know about the Epic Dog Urination trick, so both Ash and I should be able to arrange our bingos so they work and we can both finish it.

I do have a slight problem in that I'm actually lacking the Letter of the Marquee at this point. Yes, yes, I suck and everything. :p

The tips are appreciated, though. I never considered the hanging out chakra bonus!

SRW@3 - Pointless overkill durability fun! Between capping all the Evas and capping the Gunbuster+giving it the 0 cost barrier FUB+giving Noriko Shield Defend 9, I have an immortal Gainax brigade walking around. Also capped Shinji and Asuka's weaponry for shiny 7k power Unison Kicks and 6.5k AT Field Attacks. Yuuuuuuum.

Fun fact: Thanks to Asuka's Soul, Revenge squad leader bonus and Synchro Rate effect, Unison Kick is the highest-damage attack in the game.

SO1 Remake - Advanced the plot a bit, didn't realise how actually close to the end of the game I was.  Was more expecting SO2 length, this is actually pretty short.  Anyway, went back and got the Muah thing and customised 2 Duel Swords.  Was going to use one to make a sword for Phia and try her out, but locked accessory for the suck, she is otherwise cool.  I would like to swap someone out for Ashaly though, because although he is awesome, just would like something different than 2 swordsman.

Some other stuff about the IC system (it is worse than SO2) but I am out of time

If all else fails, hiding in a corner of the map until the turn limit expires will at least allow you to continue your chain (even if you won't get quite as many points from it).

Well, if there's no chance of failure, it would kind of take all the fun out of the game, wouldn't it?

Still... that's a nasty situation to fall into. I hope you didn't lose too much work.
