Persephone (Wild ARMs 5) vs Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI): Persephone absorbs/nulls (forget which) fire on top of Terra's other problems here.
Garm (Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume) vs Xorn (Grandia III): Yeah no, Garm isn't the tier of Godlike needed for this. Xorn can survive one of her turns and that gives him way too much time.
Emily (Suikoden III) vs Fou-lu (Breath of Fire IV): 75% physical resistance (lessened some against crits, but still) and 2HKOs with magic.

Heavy

Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV: The After Years) vs Edgar Roni Figaro (Final Fantasy VI): Air Anchor. Kain might have won this if TAY Jump weren't such dogshit, but the charge time means he gets AA'd if he tries, and he doesn't 2HKO with anything else.

Middle

Ursula (Final Fantasy IV: The After Years) vs Alfyn Greengrass (Octopath Traveler): uuhhh I dunno. Ursula 4HKOs but constantly 3-2s. This does leave some space for Alfyn to heal though, but he'll need to spend BP on it. Which leaves him slowly cutting away with Amputates, or throwing down poison and hoping for the best. I'm not sure how much I respect Ursula's status and/or how legal I find it, but it certainly might kick in during this fight? Abstain for now.
Mesdoram Elmdor (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Bob (Suikoden II): Elmdor has about 84% evade against basic physicals.

Light

Chemist (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Norris (Chrono Cross): Doesn't look like Norris can break through Chemist's Auto-Potion-backed healing. This is extra true if his yellow damage is seen as earth instead of lightning (I have no idea).
Harley (Final Fantasy IV: The After Years) vs Kongol (Legend of Dragoon): I think. Kongol 3HKOs so Harley gets in three turns, but one of those is against dragoon Kongol who is status-immune. She needs to land paralysis in two tries AND kill Kongol who is a physical deathtank before it wears off, and that seems unlikely.
Mustadio Bunansa (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Chahn (Cosmic Star Heroine): Chanh feels good in the division to me.
Laguna Liore (Final Fantasy VIII) vs Camille (Celestian Tales: Old North): Can backload her damage.

Fencer (Bravely Second: End Layer) vs Merurulince Rede Arls (Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland) - I'm assuming Meruru is at least getting access to her basic Alchemy items, because without them, there's no way she belongs in Heavy. She has a lot of Full Healing and Buffing options, and is durable enough that Fencer can't ORKO. Fencer can try to blitz on the second turn, but by then Meruru's buffed her durability by half (or more, depending on whether she needed healing too). With buffs in place, Meruru can easily alternate between heals and damage, and only needs 3 turns of Bomb Ice damage to end this. If Fencer opts for the Water-halving headgear (I don't recall if Water counts as Ice-elemental in B2nd), then there *might* be an argument for Fencer outspeeding with some Falcon Stance speed-buffing and getting a doubleturn at some point? Meruru's Items already have decreased wait times on them, so I dunno if it helps.
Of course, if you allow Meruru a full Pepped Up basket so that all of her healing items can auto-proc when she takes damage, then Fencer's only option was to OHKO, and that's just not happening.

Middle

Shante (Arc the Lad II) vs Sylvain Jose Gautier (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) - Can Divide get around his counters somehow?
Ursula (Final Fantasy IV: The After Years) vs Alfyn Greengrass (Octopath Traveler) - leaning this way based on poison hype~
Rabbid Peach (Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle) vs Hendrick (Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age) - I think she has trouble getting enough damage in before Hendrik buffs up to OHKO? There might be some scenario where she can ensure that she always has Shield up before Hendrik gets a turn which could make this match last forever...

Honestly unless Sylvain's Res is so low as to let Divide get to the point where it drains 52% mHP (and for the record I very much doubt it is, he's only three points below average there which isn't that significant) it's pretty irrelevent, considering how trashy Shante physical durability is.

Ursula (Final Fantasy IV: The After Years) vs Alfyn Greengrass (Octopath Traveler)- E: Oh for fuck's sakes. Rehabilitate+poison means Alfyn can outlast here. He isn't ever going to attack on his turns, just heal/poison/buff and let Ursula take poison damage on her own turns. Gross.  Resist Ailment even provides cover on turns when Rehab's down.
Rabbid Peach (Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle) vs Hendrick (Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age)- Peach's status is useless here and she has no real ability to break past Hendrik's healing. Her only chance of winning is to outlast his MP, which seems unlikely considering the defense debuffing.
Messam Elmdor (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Bob (Suikoden II)

Chemist (Final Fantasy Tactics) vs Norris (Chrono Cross)- Even a max damage Norris combo (2 heavy hits+L7 tech) isn't going to OHKO here. Chemist is a nasty light; only tends to lose to dangerous limit fighters.

Ursula can block poison at a cost of taking 2.5% more physical damage, so Alfyn has to make the kill stick using his offence. That really does seem like quite a lot of time. Rehabilitate is a valuable turn. He needs to heal every two turns.

Rehab (spend 1 BP, lasts 3 turns after this one) -> heal -> heal -> Rehab (spend 2 BP, lasts 5 turns after this one) -> heal -> heal -> attack -> heal -> heal -> rehab (spend 3BP) -> repeat... think that works though for leaving no openings.

Grumble grumble.  This is definitely a match where perfect AI is what lets Necrosaro win - if he spams dispel in response to any attempt by Zack to buff up, he probably wins.  I guess Zack could go for something like last week's match where he depends on DMW, but I want to say Necrosaro has some slow status that will mess that up, so probably Necrosaro.  (Against in-game AI, Protect + hope Necrosaro doesn't use Dispel often enough would be potent.)

Uh, Honey vs. character who flavor-wise should be short-range but whose animations suggest long-range attacks anyway and might possibly block the status if some don't move analogue is found in DQ11.  That said, even if Honey blocks some of Hendrik's moves and can't be blocked, suspect that wait until Pep Up -> unload can bust past Peach's healing.

Flavor-wise, I might actually buy Bob as immune to Blood Suck, but it doesn't actually matter.

Garm (Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume) vs Xorn (Grandia III)- Let's say Xorn has 2 PC HP, which means that Garm 2HKOs. And Garm counters. And Xorn opens up with low damage. Xorn's strength is the speed, while he takes a while to get damage and Garm totally punishes that.
Emily (Suikoden III) vs Fou-lu (Breath of Fire IV)

Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV: The After Years) vs Edgar Roni Figaro (Final Fantasy VI)- I'm the only person who should be thinking about this match, I think. Under standard status views this is a Kain slaughter. That said, Super said that Air Anchor doesn't trigger until a Jumping enemy falls if they jump after Air Anchor is applied, so Kain wins.
Sara Valestein (Trails of Cold Steel) vs Mother Brain (Phantasy Star II)- If Mother Brain's damage is physical (and therefore perhaps evadable), Sara might have a shot. But even thenm uphill battle.
