Worker 8 (FFT) vs. Reclaimer Dragon (WA4) - Worker 8 may actually get some damage in!  Too bad that's just basic attack damage off of a counter before Reclaimer literally bulldozes him into nothingness in an insta-double.  Or likely insta-triple.

Losers:
Nel Zelpher (SO3) vs. X (MMX:CM) - X can block Freeze.  This does *not* bode well for Nel.


MIDDLE

Winners:

Belial (WA4) vs. Yuna (FFX): 4D Pocket does its thing. You do have to allow that, though... Tank Drop is reasonably accurate but not over 70 hit against Yuna's evade, which is what it'd need to be to hit 2 turns out of 2, and Yuna will win if she gets a turn.

Losers:
Ryu (BoF3) vs. Sephiroth (FF7): I don't think it's totally crazy to use so much HP Plus that Shadow Flare doesn't OHKO (probably needs two per character, at least if you have significant magic/summon), but certainly never how I played and Safer Sephiroth's damage is so much higher than previous bosses. Fight hinges on that: Ryu can half paralysis and should win if he gets a turn.


HEAVY

Winners:
Worker 8 (FFT) vs. Reclaimer Dragon (WA4): File this under things I was not expecting: Reclaimer Dragon 2HKOs Worker 8, 88% damage versus 1.71 pdur.

Losers:
Nel Zelpher (SO3) vs. X (MMX:CM): Equip some freeze resistance win resulting slugfest probably. Open to arguments.


MIDDLE

Winners:
Bartholomew Fatima (XG) vs. Byleth (FE3H): I was all ready to talk about Bart's evade game ruining Byleth here but then I realized (a) Levin Sword would surely ignore Bart's nonsense (Three Houses separates physical and magic evade into separate stats, Levin Sword checks the latter), (b) Byleth doubles Bart with that. 88 damage is a lot! Even if Bart halves that! And then Byleth regens 20% HP per turn, which slows Bart's offence significantly, especially since he's equipping the Black Snake.

Losers:
Lich (FF1) vs. CHAMELEON MAN (WA3): Backstabs have a 0.5% chance to work here, so you never know!


LIGHT

Winners:
Locke (FF6) vs. Ryudo (G2): Ryudo surely 2HKOs Locke's bad pdur and isn't 2HKOed first.

Losers:
Natan (SH3) vs. Aika (SoA)

Yep, this match from week 1 or 2, and I'm voting the same way.  If SH3 Panic has an analog in SoA, it's Fatigue not Confuse IMO, it's "double SP loss" not confusion itself.

Ryu (BoF3) vs. Sephiroth (FF7) - Yeah, I think I prefer to look at FF7 averages a bit lower in terms of HP, since twinking for durability in FF7 is uh not usually even remotely close to optimal. Two HP + per character feels kinda silly.

Nel Zelpher (SO3) vs. X (MMX:CM) - Freeze blocker stops Ice Daggers. From there, I think X eventually heal locks once he hits a high enough WE. Nel can try to run X out of Hyper Armor charges but he can always revert back and his WE carries over from form to form. At that point, Hyper Armor poke + Nova Strike probably kills, so Nel's nearly infinite healing pool doesn't matter and she loses in a straight slugfest otherwise.


MIDDLE

Winners:
Bartholomew Fatima (XG) vs. Byleth (FE3H) - Yeah, I'm not inclined to give Bart the benefit of the doubt here. Especially once one considers how good the Levin Sword is vs. how good Blue Cologne is in their respective games.

Losers:
Lich (FF1) vs. CHAMELEON MAN (WA3) - RICHARD has a 0.5% chance to win this. <RICHARD> So there is a chance you say? *Goes to plan his backstabs carefully*


LIGHT

Natan (SH3) vs. Aika (SoA) - Same vote as several weeks before. The fact that these 2 end up back facing each other again suggests maybe both are better than we think.
