Welcome to the No Holds Barred Music Tournament of Doom! The next several weeks will pit a full 256 of songs selected by you, the viewers, against each other in a happy fun time tournament for everyone! The rules are simple!
1. Vote for the one you like best!
2. Actually have heard both songs!
That's it! You do NOT have to have played the game in question, just have heard the song somehow. You may find these websites useful in this endeavor: Galbadia Hotel and Blue Laguna. I cannot guarantee every song listed here is thusly available, but a vast, vast majority should be. Arrangements for the exceptions can be looked into upon request. If you are uncertain of what a song is, be sure to ask as well! After all, not every name here has been cross referenced for accurate naming, and not all names accurately reflect when and where they play in their game's of origin!
Each pool will be open for a full week from their date of posting. Many pools will be running at once for the sake of the tournament not taking all summer, so be sure to double check if you have voted in them all!

Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113- Dislike most of G3's music.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico”- Both are very good, emotive pieces that quickly draw your mind to the moment of the games they happened in. Think I prefer the latter right now, but this is good.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad- Dancing Madly 4 is that awesome.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars- Better, wasn't a fan of S5's ending theme.

Not much contest there.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”
Beach of Nothingness is my favorite XS song, but...man, Hunter's Chance has the Black Mages version going for it. I'm torn. (Also, I can't find the original of Hunter's Chance anywhere.)

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad
Dancing Mad is that badass.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons
Haven't played either game, know both songs anyway!
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning
You can go to hell for making me vote against Big Bridge this early.

Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 - Wow. I like the Volsung music, but Hot Crash is so much more fitting and energetic, it wins this.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico” - Magus is awesome and fitting. Didn't care much either way for Via Purifico.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” - If this is what I think it is...YES. Great song. Beach is...bleh. SHION IN ITS SCENE RUINS IT ALL.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme - Requisit P2 hype. Shadow Hearts is decent, but...eh. I prefer Love Moon Flower anyway.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad - Tough. Dancing mad is like 12 minutes of blah followed by 3 that are awesome (tiers then Kefka - since it's not specifying, I'm assuming the whole thing). Challenge...I actually to like a lot. Fits well enough, I think...yeah, that's better, I think. Dancing Mad's end is good, but the first 3/4 is so damn boring.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons - ...I like both, and both are...eerily similar. I'll let Hatbot decide...
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning - ....!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think Beatrice's music would win this. I prefer that to End of the Beginning. As is, go Gilgamesh.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars - Mmm...for all that my opinion of BoF5 as a game drops, the music is very nice. PowerOne was great. S5...don't remember music much.

Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico”: Easy. Via Purifico drives me mad if listened to for any lengthy period of time.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”: Seriously? Beach of Nothingness is so very, very boring.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme: Good versus unremarkable.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad: Dancing Mad part 4 would win in a heartbeat. Unfortunately the first three parts really suck.

Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico”: Both are good, but Magus's theme is far more memorable to me.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”: FFIX music is pretty unremarkable.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme: Eh, Covenant is where the good SH music is at.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad: Challenge isn't bad, but...it's vastly cooler in-game than it is out of it. And it's against Dancing Mad.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons: EDITED. Yeah, not digging the MK track and Rock'n Rocks, uh, rocks.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning: Battle on the Big Bridge is only awesome when the Black Mages play it. End of the Beginning is always awesome.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars: PowerOne is pretty freaking awesome, and I'm not really impressed by its competition.

Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”: Beach of Nothingness is about as unspecial as they come; Hunter's Chance is actually good!
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme: The best song in P2 by far, and its actually very good, vs. something from the Shadow Hearts OST, an OST that I remember being mediocre from beginning to end...yeah...

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad: Challenge is decent! But Dancing Mad is just bad ass (For the record: while yes, the whole track is called "Dancing Mad", in most scenarios, when people refer to the song, they mean the last part specifically, soy es, I feel I can vote based on that part only.)
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons: Land of Demons is...really nothing special at all. Takes forever to bring up something that sounds good instead of just kind of meh. MEANWHILE, Rock'n Rocks was pretty nice and all that.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning: Poor Gilgamesh, going against a song that's as unfairly awesome as this.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars: Neither's really good, but at very least Suikoden 5 song is something that can be considered music the entire way and not superimposed by random electrical sound effects. Power One has all of one part of the song that actually sounds like something, and its about 15 seconds long, a song that takes about nearly 3 minutes to loop. That's not good...

Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 - Kay, Hot Crash is neither hot nor crashing. How disappointing. Inoffensive on the whole, but Volsung was somewhat better.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico” - Somewhat apathetic towards Via, but Magus is boring.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” - Beach thought it could get ahead by being apathy-inducing like Via, but unfortunately for it Hunter's is nice and hoppy and beats it pretty handily.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme - Light vocalish thing beats a tune that I'm not really seeing how it works as a map tune.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad - Challenge is not music, it is noise. Dancing Mad at least has portions that are worthwhile.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons - Wow, a reasonable matchup for a change. Halfway through Rushing Out I was ready to give this to Rocks, but by it had finished it had grown on me and remained so after relistening to Rocks. Nice and close and both good pieces.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning - End of the Beginning is all over the place, while BB only really falters in the opening.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V - To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars - Electricity is pretty nice atmospheric music, albiet getting pretty close to the verge of becoming noise. But unfortunately it decided to go up against a nice example of the sort of music I like. What a shame.

Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113: Two "huhs" here. 1. Volsung? Of all the WA5 battle musics... definitely one of the weakest to me. 2. I always found the violin really out of place in this one. Hot Crash is an excellent boss theme, so yeah.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico”: Awesome vs. unremarkable.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”: Both tracks I like, though not quite love. Beach... I like a bit more, however.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme: Average ending theme vs. something really unimpressive. Apparently SMT music spiked up hugely between P2 and DDS.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad: Ouch. Not especially close, I'm afraid.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons: Rock'n Rocks is pretty great. The MK track... no. Bad start, never gets that great.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning: See Shale. ;_;

Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico”: I'll blow in the opposite direction and toss this a nod, since I did really like it.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad: Not especially close for me. Dancing Mad is great fun, Challenge is... well, I don't like it.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons: Rock'n Rocks just has more soul to it.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning: Not that big a fan of End of the Beginning.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars: End of the Woven Tale isn't something I'd listen to. PowerOne is something that I at least enjoyed on the dungeon trek.

Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 - hm, that WA5 seems to have some good stuff going for it.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico” - Magus Battle is good, but Via Purifico is an all-time favorite.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme - interesting.
Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad - Dancing Mad cheats, by being like 5 songs.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning - not much of a contest, really.

Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 - !! Not even close. Finally a hyped WA song that I don't blink and wonder what everyone sees in it.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico” - NOT close.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” - Good match between two great songs. I like Beach better, can't say why.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme - Generic vocals < surprisingly good song.

Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad - Not close to me, I like 3/4 of Dancing Mad and roughly 0 of Challenge.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons - Ears hurt both ways.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning - Eh. End is okay, but Big Bridge is much better.
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars - Eh. Kinda yawning to both. Electric Building gets better, though.
