Pool 2
Grandia III- A Hot Crash v Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113
Volsung is just more consistant, if nothing special.
Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle v Final Fantasy X – “Via Purifico”
As always, I'm baffled by how good tracks need to senslessly perish early, while Pool 4 exists. Via Purifico is hauntingly beautiful, but no match for the battle with Magus.
Xenosaga Episode 1 - Beach of Nothingness v Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance”
I'm willing to let the Black Mages be my guide here.
Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” (the ending theme) v Persona 2 - Second Overworld Theme
Generic, yet enjoyable, ending music against one an overworld music that isn't my type of music. Easy vote.
Final Fantasy X - Challenge v Final Fantasy 6- Dancing Mad
I like Tier 3, and don't mind the first two tiers. Tier 4, simply sublime. Challenge? Barely music.
Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks v Makai Kingdom - Rushing out of the Land of Demons
Starts out slow, but becomes something worth listening to.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Wild Arms 3 - The End of the Beginning
Huh... That song has been on my playlist for ages since I got it from the Elf, but I had always thought it was from the WA2 credits. Regardless, it does have one good section, but otherwise doesn't even begin to touch Battle with Gilgamesh, for he is the MAN! (or is it THE man! I can never remember)
Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) v Suikoden V- To the end of the woven tale of the 108 stars
Huh, odd pick from Suiko V there. Not all that good either.
