So I'm glad to see that I was correct in the topic title. The redskins are indeed yearning to go 8-8!

Sigh.

Calling it right now.

Reggie Bush wins MVP
49ers get a first round bye in playoffs
Patriots go 8-8, make the playoffs, and win the Superbowl
Alex Smith has a QB rating over 100
Tom Brady turns out to be the father of Jessica Alba's baby
Chad Johnson gets along with his teammates.

These will all happen.

The whiff.

You got the last one right, at least. Johnson's been quiet all year aside from the Ocho Cinco nonsense (which wasn't actually antagonizing anybody).

Andy Reid cannot be fired enough until he's been fired from a cannon, while on fire, through a ring of fire, into a lake of fire, and then set on fire again.

Hate the Eagles so much. Why must I be forced to endure their shitty playcalling and horrible wastes of talent week after fucking week? I feel gipped by how completely awful they've been, and I'm not even a freaking fan of the team. Fire Andy "3:1 pass to run ratio" Reid.

That above can apply to the Redskins as well, replace Andy Reid with Vinny Ceratto dying horribly.

Fantasy football is over!

I won the no cash league and lost the cash league by 3 freaking points! Thanks a lot Kurt Warner!

Oh well I still made 200 smackaroos by placing second.

*dances*

~

got tickets to the last Bucs game of the season. I say this because the NFL just changed the Cowboys game to 4:00pm. I mean, fuck them, they WANT to see Dallas go to the playoffs its sickening.

Oh, and um....go phins!

What an awesome day of football. Sure, the Redskins lost. Who cares? Dallas choked beyond belief and the Patriots missed the playoffs. Excluding both teams will cut the bullshit hype down by 99%. Playoff football is now highly anticipated.

I also note that I nailed the 'skins 8-8 record in the topic title. Go me?

The Dallas game was perhaps the single largest chokejob I've ever seen in professional sports, and I watched the Eagles' NFC championship games. By the time Joselio Hanson got a touchdown I was just laughing continually.

*appears in this topic for an important announcement*

But all this is secondary because Detroit made history today.  I really didn't think they could do it, but I guess my faith was just lacking.  *sniff*  Thanks for making this possible, Green Bay!

No, I have nothing against the guy and think his firing is undeserved.

Crennel and Marinelli, on the other hand...

---

Anyway, here's my predicted playoff bracket this year, complete with a boatload of upsets.

(6) Baltimore Ravens at (3) Miami Dolphins
(5) Indianapolis Colts at (4) San Diego Chargers

(6) Philadelphia Eagles at (3) Minnesota Vikings
(5) Atlanta Falcons at (4) Arizona Cardinals

(6) Baltimore Ravens at (1) Tennessee Titans
(4) San Diego Chargers at (2) Pittsburgh Steelers

(6) Philadelphia Eagles at (1) New York Giants
(5) Atlanta Falcons at (2) Carolina Panthers

(4) San Diego Chargers at (1) Tennessee Titans

(6) Philadelphia Eagles at (5) Atlanta Falcons <- Haha McNabb.

We might as well play the playoffs game!

(6) Baltimore Ravens at (3) Miami Dolphins
(5) Indianapolis Colts at (4) San Diego Chargers

(6) Philadelphia Eagles at (3) Minnesota Vikings
(5) Atlanta Falcons at (4) Arizona Cardinals

(6) Baltimore Ravens at (1) Tennessee Titans
(5) Indianapolis Colts at (2) Pittsburgh Steelers

(6) Philadelphia Eagles at (1) New York Giants
(5) Atlanta Falcons at (2) Carolina Panthers

(2) Pittsburgh Steelers at (1) Tennessee Titans
(2)Carolina Panthers at (1) New York Giants

(1) Tennessee Titans vs. (2) Carolina Panthers

After the Wild Cards, the seeds mostly take over. Game to watch will be Colts/Steelers. Carolina learns from NY last year and picks themselves up after a close loss in their last regular season meeting, but can't pull off the Super Bowl. Titans win their first Super Bowl after the 1 yard heartbreak.

The one yard heartache team is all but retired, and Mason is a Raven now.

Miami will make it to the Super Bowl and have Marino come in during half time and become and honorary team captain. He will get his ring and they will win the game for him.

I can't kill myself yet. I still need to go to Mia for the Gator game.

If they lose, then....don't except me back anytime soon.
