LPs (SA variety) are worth reading if you find a decent one. Other than that, eh. Speed runs are always fun to watch.  And yeah,  much like I really enjoyed the RPGP, I'd likely get fed up in a hurry if I went back. Too used to running the show so to speak. If it's like the last time I really got into a funk about games, all I need is something to snap me out of it. Problem is, I'm really fucking jonesing for that last Wheel of Time book and I have two years to go on it, and Harry Turtledove's big timeline 191 story is finished. AUGH.

And like I said above, my obsession about football this year is pretty bad. Brett Favre being back to MVP form and having a real shot at winning a superbowl is one of the few things that's ever captured my attention more than the RPGP/DL or the Wheel of Time.

Also, my new away message on IRC is now Super-Zennylikespencils. Inside jokes are fun.

As far as LPs go?

They...vary in worth.  The MM ones by Oyster are great, for example, if only cause its fun watching him just break down during each of his conditions (or in some cases, the conditions are just plain silly.)
MMX3 was another interesting one due to the "8 different players, all completely different style commentaries!" and what not.

...then there's Super Castlevania which was similar to MMX3 (different players each level), but the commentary was so wasted (like one level started off looking like it'd be good; it was all dramatic with big credits and such, you expect its going to lead somewhere...but it ended up just being "I can't do audio, so here's side comments!" and the comments just sucked.  Didn't help the next video was done in the same style -_- )

As far as nonVideo LPs...well, Pokemon Emerald/Crystal are examples of good ones that just kind of poke fun at the game in and of itself, while not actually bashing it (mostly stuff like "Poochyena, the Bite Pokemon! ...and he doesn't know Bite...") or 7th Saga where its just "Its funny cause its true!"

...yeah, LPs worth really depends on if you find a good one or not.

The Paradox ones are excellent. Go read the megathread one, it covers like 900 years in history. The Grand Theft Auto: SA one is also top notch as well.

Game funkiness is a weird thing. I don't think I've ever been outright disinterested in gaming, but after I finish something I get too lazy and can't find something to play, so I find other random distracting things until I find another game. I will also finish anything. Eventually. Even if it takes forever.

Also, I should go actually finish Phantasy Star 2, the $ Avenger back at the old forums knows a way around that crippling bug...

It's a really really bloody brilliant book series by a guy named Steven Erikson. First book is Gardens of the Moon, and the series has to do with gods who giggle strangely, huge bloody dragons, multifront wars, great characters and an interesting system of magic.

It's... just awesome. You may end up being allergic to Sorry, but that's fine, a lot of people are.

Also: Niu is so a thinner Kruppe. No, I will not explain that comment.

You do know mentioning this gives him more reason to use it, right?

P.S. Gatewalker, use it.

Christmas is indeed over. Time for a change.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Keeping the avatar to remind you all that it's only 363 shopping days until next Christmas.  Get started early.

Time to get rid of the Holiday Spirit.

I've noticed a disturbing trend of my avatars: Namely, the majority of them seem to be famous for dying. Or at least died famously. It's.... unpleasant. So, I decided to pick an avatar character that was indestructible. Ring in the new year on a positive note.
