Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Think how I feel. I was perfectly happy with Giant Robo hype until you bastards came along.

I think that NotMiki's current avy suits him perfectly. I was debating making mine into Anthy's, since you know, it fits skin tone-wise, buttttt I'd like to let NotMiki shine in NotMiki'ness.

Still waiting for a second season. fffffffff

Novels are sating my needs finely enough for now, but I'll have read them all soon enough. I am only hampered by my hatred for reading stuff on a computer screen.

I like good ole fashioned paper books, darnit!

Ditto. I spend too much time staring at computer screens already (at work and at home) and am too much of a luddite to consider reading fiction on some newfangled electronic device.

Luddite? Eh, I learn new words every day. There's a new one for vocabulary class. Reminds me of Dictionary, where someone picks a difficult, obscure word from a dictionary and everyone makes up a meaning for it, and then you vote on the most likely meaning and are awarded points if people vote on your made-up meaning, and some such.

Terrific game, doesn't work much online but it's great fun in a group!

I just love curling up in a corner with a good book on my lap, sinking into that wondrous world of make-believe where everything and nothing can happen all at once. I love reading books with an interesting form of storytelling. I also love doozing away in a big book while riding on the bus.

Uh, yeah, getting off-topic here. Just had to get that out because uuuh, idk, I love talking. Ciddie is my co-paper book lover! YEAH! *highfive*

I generally prefer the word technophobe rather than Luddite.  Luddite is fundamentally an economic movement (people protesting losing their jobs, and smashing weaving looms and such), whereas technophobe denotes a more irrational fear (I actually get dizzy whenever I use a cell phone, and try to put as much distance between cell phones and me as possible).

...That said, while I will always read a paper book given the choice, I do regularly read stuff online; this is a mixture of subject matter (certain stuff can't be published, either for legal reasons or extreme niche), of length (I will often decide "I want to read something tonight", and in one evening I can get in a couple short stories--4,000 words--but not a full novel--40,000 words), and of practicality (the nearest book store is about 15 blocks away).

This is an actual board game called Balderdash. It is awesome, and why it hasn't been played at cons is beyond me.

And MC, technophobe isn't quite the right word either. It's not as though I fear technology; I just can't be bothered to keep up with the latest in gadgetry. What's the word for this? Oh, right. Lazy.

~

This is where I belatedly curse Soppy for claiming the shadow girls first. Granted, it's not like I could ever find a good shot to use for an avatar anyway (I looked a while back). Granted, there are three of them, and I always did like "Do you know, do you know, have you heard the news?" over "Extra, extra, extra!"

Go to the next con, make us play it.  I also need a Utena avatar, deciding on who.

Right.

Anyway, avatar switch because it's been a while. Character choice doesn't shock anyone, I'm sure. And, movie version for no reason other than that I liked the picture.

Movie Juri is very pretty.

also, super: ChuChu, or (if you can find pictures of them somehow) the three dudes who speak in major chords.

I'll probably be switching to a Chu-Chu avatar after he sees Curried High Trip (which should give you a hint about which one it is).

Done and done. Go switch avatars. Anyway, joining the fad.
