Was discussing the con and the issue of money with super and he said it might be interesting to know what people did as a job/career. Just for the sake of an interesting topic methinks~

Personally - Currently doing voluntary work as a classroom assistant whilst looking into childcare courses. I also want to be an librarian but they WON'T LET ME >_> I also do volunteer work for the Red Cross. I'd like to travel someday so not sure where the childcare stuff fits into that.

I'm an Electrician.  Actually Apprentice Electrician.  I've got three more years of classroom/on-the-job training before I reach full Journeyman status.

I'm a student, and have been unemployed for almost a year now (though not for lack of searching... -_-).  I do some English tutoring but that's mostly helping friends or friends of friends with papers and don't really make a noteworthy amount of money on that.

Living off of student loans zomg.

Currently- I'm a Manager/Projectionist at an asian theater in NYC. Shows mostly Bollywood movies. I have my projectionist license, but I'm not part of the union since the theater isn't large enough to require a union projectionist.

Previously- I was a Sales Manager for Central Park Media. Handled mostly internet and small business accounts, but I also went to conventions and even hosted a few panels. My friend Peter Tatara and I also penned the bonus subtitle commentary for the Negadon DVD.

Before that, I was a Student Manager at my college's dining hall. A year of volunteering to work the dishroom prompted them to promote me after only a year. I was also a Day Manager at a deli in town for a summer. (I seem to have a knack for ending up in management, or at least in charge of people in some capacity).

My first job was a groundskeeper at a state park in my town. Pretty cool first job, honestly.

Until about six months ago, the remaining half of my week was occupied by volunteer work in game programming/scripting, but no longer. Now, looking at getting into education more seriously.

As for me, I do the basically-non-wordy end(That is, everything but writing listings. Photography, shipping, shopping, etc.) of an eBay buisiness for about 15 hours a week. It doesn't actually earn me any direct money, though, which is why I tend to be cheap as hell. But eh, it's a living. Albiet not a direct one. <_< Definitely want to either expand on that buisiness or get a job, though.

And I'm a cook/order taker for a pizza chain, same as I've been for the last two and a half years. I've stuck with the job due to not knowing what the fuck else to do and liking the flexability.  Sticking with it now since it pays the bills and lets me go to school without any worries, since I have complete control over my hours. Plus, due to me not making much money the government pretty much pays for all of my eduction. Works for me.

I'm currently taking classes to enter the Radiology program, which will be my career.

Thirded. This would totally be my dream job if it actually paid the bills here.

Anyway, I do human resources stuff for TSA (Transportation Security Administration--those people who dig through your bags at the airport). It's primarily data entry, but made more complicated by the processing system being glitchy as hell and designed by programmers with no real experience in actual HR. It's government work, but I am presently two degrees subcontracted (my actual employer is Catapult Technology, though I've never figured out what precisely they have to do with technology). Recently applied for a position at the Department of Treasury doing...well, pretty much the same thing, but presumably with better compensation. I can't say I enjoy the work, but it keeps a roof over my head.

I work at a large retail chain.  Started off as a lowly stock boy, but have managed to work my way up to troubleshooter and assistant to the Assistant Manager.  Like Super, it's decently dependable money and flexible hours for classes.
