Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby: Naesala is cool and all, but Trisection is one of the best FFT tracks.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth: Good fight, synth quality works as a tiebreak.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle: SoA music is bleh, making it more epic doesn't help. Karti fits beautifully in-game and makes me smile.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle: Pretty easy. Never Look Back's not bad, but as far as Uematsu battle themes go Decisive Battle is clearly on a higher tier.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle: Better at everything. Magus is great, Volsung is a bit of a mess.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”: Shadow Hearts, I concluded last round, was an unremarkable vocal. Hunter's Chance is decidedly above average
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks: I like Dancing Mad, but... what can I say? This track is the big reason I consider SN the pleasant surprise of the tournament. Good fight anyway.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne): Power One's nice, but yeah, I can concede it is boring at times. Big Bridge lacks those weak points, except perhaps the start, and that never loops!

Maybe.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Yay DDS~
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - Hard rock fits Karti so perfectly.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - Never Look Back is horrible.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Cooler.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - Hunter's Chance isn't something I like~
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - No disclaimer? Then, doesn't take 12 minutes to not suck.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) - Yay Gilgamesh~

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby: Huh. It didn't click in round one, but on a relisten Wheeling Corby kicks ass. FFT track is good but the entire OST doesn't manage a single track above "good" to me!
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth: Bloody murder.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle: Oh good lord, am I actually doing this? Why yes I am.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle: Easy.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle: Volsung~ Like one of the top three new tracks I've found or so.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”: Mm. Slightly more fond of this one. Mind, Black Mages would win in a landslide but >_>
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks: Dancing Mad's -best- section has nothing on Rock'n Rocks.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne): Awesome incarnate versus alright mood-setter.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby: Even good FE music has trouble dealing with FFT.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth: Slaughter.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle: Karti's music is objectively bad, but succeeds admirably at conveying its subject's personality. Armada Battle is fairly uninteresting.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle: Don't really care for either, but Never Look Back is frankly rather aggrivating.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle: Mm. Volsung's music is good, but...Magus aims for the same style and does it with more class.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”: I don't really dig either one, but Hunter's Chance is livelier and at least leaves some kind of impression.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks: Rocks.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne): Black Mages version would win in a landslide, but FFV Battle on the Big Bridge suffers from poor sound quality.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby- Mm.  when in doubt, nostalgia factor.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth- Hulklike smashing.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle- Huh, no second section to Armada?  But better than I remembered.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle- I 'spose.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle- Shocking.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks- The solo of doom in the Black Mages version wins.  Else...
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne)- Fight, Gilgamesh!  For Everlasting Peace!

Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby - NAESALA.  NAESALA.  NAESALA.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Divine Identity is top 5 songs here.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - Armada is decent in and of itself.  But Kartikeya is so damn fitting and perfectly awesome, I have to give it here.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - Eh...Decisive Battle was never great for me.  FF8 has good music.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Oooohhhhhh...wow.  I love Volsung's music a lot, and Magus' music is also fantabulous.  Damn.  Figures I'll just have to go with the sexy violin.  Another one I might change later.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - Hunter's Chance is awesome.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - Dancing Mad is still really, really, really long and bad until the last 3 minutes or so.  Rock'n Rocks is great, and growing on me.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) - GILGAMESH!!!!!

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth- ..Know the truth gets better on relistens, I have to say. Brahman is still mindblowingly good.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle- Neither deserve a vote.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks- Why are these awesome tracks fighting this early? Unfair.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne)

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby - Augh horrible first matchup of the round. They both fail, but Corby fails a bit more.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Can't be too aughing though because we proceed to go on to two awesome tracks. And Divine Identity manages to slaughter regardless.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - The only reason Kartikeya's still in this tournament is because its last opponent was even more woeful than it itself. And that lifeline is past its useby date.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - Not difficult.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Even less so. Volsung oozes style and Magus fails at life.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - Back to some mediocrity. Think Hearts takes this and I was listening to the BM version of Hunter's so I'm not sure what that says about the actual version.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - Bizarrely, Dancing (the entirity) has really grown on me during the intervening weeks. However it's still not enough to beat the rocks.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) - Hm, the powerplant's another one that's grown on me inexplicably. I think it even manages to be enough in this case.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby - Not all that close.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - The DDS soundtrack has some cool bits, but it feels like less than the sum of its parts - that's the problem I have with a lot of DDS's music so far, really.  Where's it go?  And this one is better than most.  Eh.  No huge fan of Know the Truth, but sure.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - Okay vs. annoying.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - I don't really like FF6's big battle themes; this one loops too soon I always feel without doing enough cool stuff in the meantime.  Uematsu's weakest battle themes are still pretty good, but he's up against himself here.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Not remotely close.  Still not seeing the hype for WA5 boss themes not Persephone or Fairedone.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - I do like Shadow Hearts a good bit, but Hunter's Chance is one of the best pieces in FF9's soundtrack.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - Hahaha no.  I do like Dancing Mad a lot; it's the best battle theme in FF6 by a lot.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne)

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby - Trisection is good, but Corby is downright awesome.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Sure.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - Karti's is like the one WA5 boss theme I don't like.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - Easy

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Erg. I'm really not sure here, thinking I'll throw my vote in with Volsung, but I'm happy no matter which goes on.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - Hunter's chance is a good track, but I like Shadow Hearts more today.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - Awsome all the way through.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) - Not PowerOne would be enough to win this. Big Bridge being awesome aside from that makes this a slaughter.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby - Mmhm
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Ehhh.  I dunno.  Pretty close, going with the underdog.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - Ugh, don't like Kartikeya.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - Easy call.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Veeeery close, Volsung's the WA track that's impressed me the most.  Still, though, it's trying to do the exact same thing as Magus, and doesn't quite do it better.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - No real love for either.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - Said before, I actually happen to like all of Dancing Mad.  This is a good match though, won't be sad if it loses.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) - This on the other hand is not even remotely close.

Screw not having sound, I'll vote on what I know well enough/can motivate myself to download onto my Onyx.

Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle: Very good match here. Magus' theme is just a bit more well put-together, IMO.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”: I tend to like generic J-pop more than some, but ehhhh I actually like Hunter's Chance a fair bit.

May download more later, though only if it's up against something that I really want to vote on.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby
Probably the battle music that's the most fun to listen to out of game, Naesala never really had a chance.

Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth
Divine identity has some parts that are stronger than it's foe, some that are weaker.  But they're disjointed, whereas And You Will Know the Truth is one long high.  It's kinda like the difference between FF6's Decisive Battle and FF7's Still More Fighting.

Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle
Not a strong piece, but it manages to avoid dissonance.

Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle
I don't recall anything in FF8 as strong as Decisive Battle...  Let's see if I'm wrong.  Yeah...  no, not even one of FF8's good tracks.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle
No real strong opinion of XERD, while Magus' battle is both thematic and strong by itself.

Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”
Overly long, and not much point to it in the end.  Hunter's Chance isn't much, but it doesn't meander all over the place.

Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks
Rock'n Rocks starts off strong, and it is catchy, but...  Well, it feels like one of those tunes that just gets worse with age.  Sure, Dancing Mad starts off slow, but even it's slow bit is fine, and Tier 2 and up are just divine.

Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne)
Does Ryu ever break out into sea shanties in the middle of a big battle?  No?  I didn't think so!

Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Link for Divine Identity isn't working for me, but luckily, I happen to have that soundtrack anyway.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - WA5 music is not impressing me.  Especially not against Magus.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne)

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby: Trisection is solid, but not one of my favorites (definitely more deserving on being in this tourney than...say...all the other FFT Music, Battle on the Bridge possibly excepted.)  Wheeling Corby is just awesome though.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth: Again, the MMBN2 to stop that first part of do only the first parts twice, as its basically an incomplete section, I feel (hard to explain).  That, and Divine Identity gets props for being a DDS Battle Theme that is NOT LIKE THE OTHERS.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle: The latter is a genuinely good song.  The former is used very well in game...but doesn't stand well on its own.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle: A long time favorite vs. a merely solid song.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle: Listening to it again...Volsung is better than I gave it credit for...but its nowhere near Battle with Magus, which not only has nostalgia value, but still stands as kick ass to this day.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts”: Fun, upbeat song vs. generic vocal.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks: Yeah, Elfboy's reasoning works.  I'll just say "Quality difference" for a tie break.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne): Not even close.

Final Fantasy Tactics- Trisection v Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wheeling Corby - Close one.
Digital Devil Saga 2: Divine Identity v Megaman Battle Network 2 - And You Will Know The Truth - Yeah.
Wild ARMs 5 - Kartikeya ASGX_7135 (: Battle) v Skies of Arcadia - Armada Battle - Not even close.
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Never Look Back v Final Fantasy VI- The Decisive Battle - Never Look Back is... yeah no.

Wild ARMs 5 - Volsung XERD_3113 v Chrono Trigger - Magus Battle - Not the biggest Volsung battle fan here, but also not a big fan of Magus Battle so this takes it.
Final Fantasy IX – “Hunter’s Chance” v Shadow Hearts – “Shadow Hearts” - Hunter's Chance is good, but Shadow Hearts is beautiful.
Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad v Soul Nomad - Rock'n Rocks - Heh, good match.
Final Fantasy V - Battle on the Big Bridge v Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter: Electricity Suppliant Building (PowerOne) - Not so much.

Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!
