Reorganizing Niu's list a little bit. So the key for people coming in/out is is there anyone not comfortable using shuttles? Shuttles drop the airport to my place are relatively cheap ($40 per car; http://www.beverlyhillscabco.com/lax-taxi-service.html) and everyone is basically arriving at nearly the same time as someone else.

I also realize that potentially someone here might be getting a rental car (or maybe just for Disneyland) as there's only one car for that that I know of. Obviously for people going to Disneyland who then have next day flights (which appears to be all 3 of you actually), there has to be some intermediate connection in terms of places to stay. My apartment is open for people to crash at and as noted, isn't too bad to LAX the next day, just getting from Disneyland to my apartment will require a car.

It's looking unlikely that I will be able to take time off.

BUT, it's in LA, which is an hour's drive away.  I'll drive up Friday night, and spend the weekend.

So here's the rub, friends. I work until 4:30 on Friday and at 9 am on Monday. I would arrive at around 11 pm Friday night. Is there anyone who could pick me up? Return flight would be 8 pm Sunday night. Is this practical at all from your end? I feel like if people can fly from Brazil and Finland that I can come visit them for a couple days. <_<

I wasn't sure and needed to book something soon, so went with "Go to Vancouver ASAP" option because that way I get in someone else' way for a change of pace.

Edit - And more time in Vancouver opens up more chances for Shakespeare.

Also, I am ambivalent about how "San Diego during Comic Con but without Comic Con tickets" is really going to go. Vancouver is def. the better bet.

As a side note still, for Djinn/VSM/Grefter/CK and Meep, I believe that you are all going to Disneyland. This is important because to my knowledge, there is currently 1 car going to Disney. I'm not sure if any of you are planning on renting a car? Because obviously need at least 2 cars to get to Disney and 1 to at least get back up to my place. I'm just not sure what that second car will be, but it should probably be planned soon.

My car holds an absolute maximum of 5. (I'm also planning on driving to the mountains east of LA afterward, with Snow, but I can drop people off at Dhyer's place or wherever if need be.)

We 100% need someone else in the group to rent a car. Who's volunteering?

Since this is the travel topic, a question: who is coming by to pick up people at the airport? I'm not familiar with the area at all so I'm not very comfortable just hopping onto transit and hoping I get to Niu's. And yes, my sense of direction is legendary bad.

If people could use something like this http://www.beverlyhillscabco.com/lax-taxi-service.html (I would pay for it) to get to my house (in Beverly Hills), it would be a major help. I won't have an issue getting one group, so with potential travel delays/mad traffic, getting one fully and then getting the other might be an issue.
