Right, thanks all so far. Just waiting on Otter. Pending Otter's confirmation, the game will most likely start 24 hours from now, (5pm Monday Australian time).
Day 1 will last 48 hours.
Subsequent days will last 72 hours.

Edit:
Also, majority vote must be reached otherwise the day will result in a no-lynch (so we won't be stretching out to 72 hours every day).

Soooo, what's up with the game being suspended for a day? Considering the events up to this point, why not leave it open for people to talk and extend deadline another day, if there's some reason it can't proceed on schedule? Speaking as Mafia-mod here, not VtM-player, I really really don't like the whole pausing thing, especially in this situation. You've got people feeling pressured by the deadline, commenting on it, and now they're going to have to further jiggle timing and try to show up between when the game reopens (on an odd time zone for most people) and the new end of day 1 deadline.

Mmm, I definately see where you're coming from, trust me I feel bad about it (I really wanted to see reactions, I'm enjoying watching! I read everything O_O).

It's basically a catch 22; if I don't try and resolve the inactive player issue, you guys might be forced to waste a lynch; I'm really against the idea of modkills, but this is the third person i've had to replace in a game where I already had a lot of trouble getting enough players...

In any case, the game will definately continue at the stated time, no more interruptions. Even if I have to outsource a player like I did when replacing Strago.

This is the problem, you really shouldn't be. This far into the game, a replacement for someone with no posts is going to be even *worse* than a modkill. They likely aren't going to be able to drag themselves out of the no-posts hole no matter what. This is what modkill is *for*.

If the game's not going to be reopened, the day 1 deadline should definitely be extended further because of the scheduling bump this creates for people.

Uh, the game will be reopened.. I've said that like 3 times o.o I must have missed what you meant there.

The scheduling bump is only 3 hours difference; in fact I can bring it back down to 1pm, which I will do now, so we're back where we were. Good idea, ok, there is now going to be exactly 0 schedulling bump, because the game will resume at 1pm instead of 4pm. (only an hour after the same time when it left off).

Ah right, I see what you mean.
I set a specific time, so people would know when the game was going to resume, and could return accordingly. Continuing it right now would throw that off.

If multiple people want a time extention (to the tune of votes, for fairness) then I'll allow it.

I'd just like to apologize for having been absent from the mafia game this past week, due to an unfortunate hospitalization. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused everyone. It was unfortunately sudden, and I couldn't get to a computer to do anything about it.

I hope it's still going strong - have fun - I'm at least going to read and catch up now that I'm back in access to a computer and not stuck with IVs.
