I felt like trying a little something different, so with a little help from Andy, I'm going to be running a game of Arkham using some fanmade Touhou investigators and a GOO. We'll be running with no more than six people, and the game will start shortly after the current game ends, as they're using some of the stuff we'll need.

I'll be using the same structure for turns that Andy has been. Turns will be broken up into Upkeep/Movement and Encounters phases, with a time limit of 48 hours each. I'm also going to give each player a choice of two Hatbot-selected investigators. The GOO will not be revealed until the game starts. The game will be using just the base game and the Dunwich expansion, none of the card expansions or other boards.

Priority will be given to players that are new and who didn't get into the most recent game. If you don't get into this one, don't worry too much, as Andy's planning to start up a third game pretty soon as well. Please don't sign up unless you're sure you'll be able to communicate with your partners and get a move in for every turn.

If you want to check out the possible investigators/GOOs for this game, you can find them in the Mediafire link at the bottom of the page. Be warned, though, that Hal and Alex have been working on these as well so there may be additions or changes before the game actually starts.

If you have no knowledge of Arkham Horror at all and just want to play the game, I suggest waiting for Andy to start his third game up. He's using the rules as they were designed, and is more experienced than I am at the game. If you really want to play in this one, though, I suggest at least reading the two games on the boards currently so you get an idea not only of how the game is played but the way we're going to be running it.

Also I kinda half-promised Hal a spot so if this does fill up and I bump someone, sorry. <_<

Edit: If you want an Arkham rules primer, you can also just hit me up. The game isn't too complex overall, and I think my explanations are okay. Snow and Tal may disagree.

Nah, the explanations are good. Helps, though, that Arkham is intuitive to play, so it's pretty easy to get into the gear of things. I'm just a glutton for overclarification. <_<

Confirming a spot in this. I've played the Touhou characters in AH quite a bit, though, so if someone -really- wants in I can step aside (and possibly co-mod, if Yak needs any help with this).

Well, looks like nobody else wants to steal Hal's spot and I've got all the extra stuff I'm going to get in time from Hal/Alex, so I'm going to go ahead and give you your character choices. The names are links to pictures of the investigator cards. If you don't want either of the characters Hatbot picked for you, feel free to trade pairs with others, but you can't pick one and let someone else pick the other half of your pair. If you have any questions about the rules or want clarifications on what anything means feel free to ask me in IRC or by board PM, or just ask here.

Note: There is an errata to the Hourai ability on Alice's card. It can only be used once per turn to trade between yourself and one other investigator.

Tal, if anyone needs to be replaced for any reason, you're first on the list. If everyone has made their choice by then, this game will start a day or two after the current game ends.

Like I said, you can swap pairs. So if you want to switch your Alice/Patchy choice for his China/Kanako choice and he agrees, that's fine. You can't have China and him take Kanako, though, for example.

Note to players: As Andy's game is having the Final Battle on Tuesday night, I intend to start our game up sometime on Wednesday, probably evening since I have to get data from Andy. We'll keep using #rpgdlarkhamhorror as the IRC channel, and there will probably be people there you can bug for rules clarification/advice/whatever whenever you need it. Also, http://www.arkhamhorrorwiki.com is a great resource for information on the game.

There is a slight possibility I may need to go up north to help my sister move on Wednesday but even if I do I should have internet access. I'll post here if I have to delay the game, but I don't expect problems.
