Turns out I won't need the hotel! If I'm coming up on Thursday, I'm probably going to visit my best friend and crash at her place. I'm may push my arrival back a day though (only potentially thought this up yesterday; Luckily Southwest has like a million flights going up there), and I'm going to try to decide by Sunday at I see her down here.

I need a hotel for the Thursday and presumably the Monday; I'll book wherever other people are booking, though (assuming there are other people getting a hotel?)

Alright, early arrivals that don't already have other plans. This would be Rat, Tal, Soppy, Super, Nitori, OK and MC.

Looking over space here, we can put up, say 3-4 of this list, which sadly can't include Met for certain reasons.

So, looking for volunteers from the other 6 to stay with Met at a hotel that night instead of here.

Quick List for clarity's sake:

Met - Hotel(the Super 8 by the con house? It's an easy BART ride from the airport)
Rat - Hotel with Met
Tal - Hotel with Met
Soppy - Has plans with Andy
Super - Our place
Nitori - Our place
OK - Our place

Yeah, I probably didn't make it very clear there:

I would prefer to stay with Gate or LD/Andy if at all possible (I thought I mentioned that earlier in the topic, but figured I'd put it up again).  I'm not adverse to doing the hotel, but I'd just like to avoid it - the finances are off at this point with the crazy stupid late pay schedule at the school.  I had initially budgeted for staying with a local person, but if there's enough people to lower the cost, I do have enough extra to swing the hotel budgeted as a safety net.

Alright, since Tal seems to object the least to hotelling, I'm gonna ask him to stay with Met on the 12th.

Rat: would you be willing to split a hotel room with Met/Tal on the 12th. If so, wonderful. If you can't...I'm gonna ask one of OK/Nitori to do so, then.

Oh, one thing- I arrive on the 11th. I would be pretty chuffed if anyone had a place I could crash at for one day before I trip on down to the hotel. If not I'll just get a room there by myself for one day.

Good question!  I was actually about to ask Gate where I should book.

Which hotel should we stay at Gate?  You mentioned something about a Super 8 near the BART line?  (I assume we're too late on Andy's offer).
