So, I was researching things to do in San Francisco, and one very important thing stood out:

PENGUIN FEEDING EVENT

Apparently the California Academy of Sciences will let you feed some Penguins. Feeding Penguins is quite possibly the noblest job in the world, and I think we should all do this.

Or at least, if I'm gonna be there a whole week early, I think anyone else who's interested should come along.

I'd like to request that everyone take a minute to check the first page and ensure that I have you down right if you're coming and where you'll be staying. I want to make sure we've got room planned and it looks like the house is close to full if not full up. If I need to do some juggling with available spaces, I'll need to know sooner rather than later.

And if Maybes could become Yeses or Nos, that'd be awesome, too.

We'd still prefer to stay in the house, but since we have an apartment and a car it's not a big deal for us to give up our space.

I'm probably not going to be able to make it, for the record.

Too long to bus, and money has been brutally bad this year buisiness-wise(yay economy hitting people that work at home annoyingly hard~). I'm *not* doing a two day bus trip if I could somehow get up the money and all my hopes for trying to save up cash otherwise haven't worked out, so short of something vaguely miraculous it ain't happening.

Is the bus really that much less expensive than a plane? I only spent 300 something for DLC4's round trip plane ride, and I can't imagine that the bus will be much less.

Also, noticed that I'm put down as a maybe. Regardless of whether I get a job with Interac or not, I'm definitely not going this year. Don't have the funds to spare if I get the job, and if I don't I probably won't be in too great a mood and would rather not stress myself more with the travelling and the glaiven.

Plane ticket costs ramp up *seriously* around right now. Getting a ticket around a month after this relative time last DLC would have cost me 400-450$ range, IIRC. Getting them within a month or going(Nearest time I might be able to have enough cash, *maybe*) isn't going to work.

Bus costs 200$ and Greyhound has done badly enough in recent years so that they're consistent about that(because to be otherwise=corporate suicide). They have a time ramp up too but it's 14 days, not months, so that's easy to deal with.

So yeah I could have pulled it off if I'd gotten, you know. Money, in the last year. I suppose I could have passed up getting a Wii at all and tried saving since then but too late to worry about that now.
