I found I had to cheese with Elza's Madness Rush to even get the Esper bars up there for that. I got pissed when you countered though. It was like, YAY then FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

I'll try it again when I get home, I'm out of NRG.

I'll say this now.

Between Minfilia's Aqua Guard and Xon's Twist of Fate, the Dr. Cid trial felt like a joke.  Nevermind my Elza being there and doing lots of damage.

Yeah Dr. Cid was pretty damn easy by any standard.  I just took my regular team in which was poor for it (light element) and still won.  Just took a long time.

Why hello there, Luneth enhancements!  Crap, I'm out of heavicrysts...

Awakening week:  Got Refia's MP Regen and 5 MP Full Life.  Got Luneth's  Swordmaster+2 and Cut Through+2.  Got Dark Fina's Ultima+2.  Will work on Luneth's Advance next.  I am getting low on coins, which is a weird feeling because they've never been used for anything before.

....real clever game. So we get the 10+1 ticket. I decide to roll both the cellphone and tablet accounts at the same time.

Cellphone account got Orran and Helena.
TABLET account (IE main account) got Orlandeau.

I was pissed and happy at the same time. Gods curse your curse, Meeple.

Daily Draw.  I decide to pull in chances of getting Amelia.  Well...

[3:08:21 AM] Mr. Bluelike: Oooh, 5☆ crystal from the daily draw!  It's...  Fohlen.

...So what can I do with Fohlen in general?

Not a lot.  He deals in Wind, which is pretty much limited to Bartz and future Shantotto for buddies.  He does have infinite mirage shenanigans, which makes him basically immune to enemies with only physical attacks.

Plus his sprite is fugly.

So, I think I spent all my luck for the month.

24 Summon Tickets.

Veritas of the Flame, Knight Delita, and a second Dark Fina.

So, with goading from Mei and Meeple, I decided to do a couple more 10+1 draws.

Draw #1: Soleil, Locke, Celes, Trey, Aiden, Shera, Luna, Lawrence, Xon, Timothy x2
Draw #2: Veritas of the Earth x2, Veritas of the Dark, Cloud of Darkness, Luna x2, Terra, Freya, Celes, Abel, Artemios

...So now the only banner unit I'm missing is Victoria.

The amazing: I got ANOTHER Rainbow on the daily draw today.

The let down: It was Lightning.

Grand Seraph trial beaten.  Party was Ling/Noctis/WoL/D. Fina/Y'shtola RW D. Fina.

Ling used Daunting Step once, and then turned into an MP battery between Invigorating Dance and Chakra.  Noctis was mostly there for Cover (extra MP regen with a bit of extra HP) and Link (MAG buffing).  WoL did his jobs well between Arms Eraser and Provoke, and Y'shtola had her MP drained once so I had to play her smart between Curaja, Protectga, Shellga, and Benediction.  D. Finas mostly just Dualcast Ultima, though I had mine start spamming the Manufacted Nethicite later in the fight, and I did have each use Osmose at least once.

Took it easy on the Mog King event this week.  Finished the story event, and spent today (unsuccessfully) working on some trials I haven't beaten yet.  I try to do them without looking at guides, but these recent ones you really have to know every single mechanic to finish them.

Daily pull: Eve
4+ ticket:  9S
56 tickets:  Another Eve, another 9S, and 14 21Os.  Not bad overall, but I wanted A2.

So I finally beat the Dreadnaught Elite stage...  That Sergeant fight is dumb, stupid, and annoying to the extreme, even now.

Yes it is.

Beat the Octopus Teacher.  Had a lot of trouble with this one.  I can kill Chupon in one round, but then Ultros destroys me.  And same thing if I kill Ultros first.  Trick ended up being to wait a couple of turns before killing Chupon, then everything worked out.

Then I tried Aigaion again.  Got bored after an hour and quit, was only doing 7% damage to an arm per round.

Here's a fun strategy:

Lightning running Durandal/Genji Shield/Grand Helm/Assassin's Vest/Ring of the Lucii x2 with Spirit of Freedom/Adventurer II/Mog Wisdom/Equip H Shields.  Set Esper was Diabolos.

All that is 100% evasion with blocking Poison/Sleep/Silence/Paralysis/Confusion.

...It took 200 turns to kill Trial Gilgamesh.

Why Durandal?  And why not just use Noctis?  I can't imagine watching Lightning's attack animations that long.

Why Durandal?

Because I needed to put a Holy-elemental weapon on her, and the Durandal was the strongest one I had.

And why not just use Noctis?  I can't imagine watching Lightning's attack animations that long.

That 10% difference in base evasion (Lightning has 30%, Noctis has 20%) matters a LOT.

Of what I have, Lightning can use the set I listed above, or go for Durandal/Kiyomori/Grand Helm/Assassin's Vest/Ring of the Lucii/Safety Bit + Freedom's Wish/Speed Plus x3.  Noctis would require a couple of those Speed Pluses to be Cyan TMRs to reach 100% Evasion, which I have none of - closest I can get for everything required in terms of defense (block Paralysis and Confusion, mostly) would mean that he only gets 90% evasion.

EDIT: I looked through things and managed to math it out a bit, and...  If I went out to buy the Holy Lance from that Fat Chocobo, I could pull off the same set-ups with Fohlen...  But that would theoretically take longer, because doing less damage on counters.

Finally got enough Support Heavicrysts to fully awaken Luneth.  Who would have expected months ago that Heavicrysts would hold you back so much?

Also I made a Zargabaath with 582 magic.  This's the way.

So being obsessive on the Nier banner finally paid off.  Well over 80 tickets, a 5000 lapis pull, and daily draws netted me a 2Booty.  So I only missed out on A2.  But hey free 130 attack katana.

Hurricane Harvey made me lose 3 days, so I barely made the 28-day trust moogle, and was way behind on expeditions.  Used all my Advance Tokens and managed to get the King Tough Pot at least.

Hein is an ass in whatever game he's in.  I 1-rounded him with Exdeath and a friend Dark Fina, but no way I'm grinding Elite.  Much more efficient to autobattle Pro with 1102 attack Luneth and bonus units.

My current fun project is to make the strongest Eve possible.  Already up to 20/25 on his Limit Break.

Beat trial Hein after some difficulty.  Tried using Exdeath but he was way too squishy.  So I used Dark Fina for the first time.

Warrior of Light (break spirit, try to soak physical attacks for people)
Dark Fina (Dualcast Ultima)
Zargabaath (stat buff, elemental resistance buff, regen mp, repeat)
Refia (Dualcast Curaja)
friend Rem (Dagger Boomerang)

The Rem pretty much soloed it, Dagger Boomerang was doing 500k a turn.  Got all achievements.
