Ekaru Hoppe do pe Jean is the prince of Simafort, and one of the least likely fighters you'll ever see. I mean, a fat rapier wielding frog who can't take anything seriously is not someone you expect to see in the arena, now is it? It doesn't matter, as while not a master of warfare, there are two things Jean is a master of: Cooking and Art! When it comes to these fields, there are very few who can rival him! Its a pity they don't go far in a duel, but hey, if Jean didn't care about losing his title as a prince, while being tossed in jail, when he was recently cursed by a witch to boot, why should he care about a silly little tournament?

Jean's main assets in a duel include the legendary Breath of Fire 2 Death spell, known for its stellar accuracy and overall cheapness in-game, combined with good endurance to last a while and some other status to hurl at his foes. Granted, this comes at the price of being slow and undamaging, but come on, you expect a nice guy like Jean to be a scary fellow? Surely you jest!
