While Kefka might have been the first truly mad clown to grace the RPG multi-verse, it's about time for him to step down off that pedestal. The jester Dhoulmagus, traitorous wizard and power-hungry man, was the catalyst that unleashed the terrifying powers of Rhapthorne by taking the cursed sceptre from it's vault in Trodain Castle. He proceeded to curse the land of Trodain, covering it in thorns and briars and brambles, and then journeyed off to finish his master's will - the execution of the descendants who sealed him away years ago. Eventually cornered in the Dark Ruins and killed by some of Trodain's survivors, Dhoulmagus went off to entertain Nero down in Hell, ending his life on Earth.
The Dark Jester of Trodain is far from a mere mortal with the power of a god behind him - unlike that clown Kefka. With the ability to clone himself and cast Multiheal, Dhoulmagus can keep himself in the game for quite a long time. His immense pain tolerance and additional powerful attacks - including an ultra-high-speed-attack-combo and powerful ice and fire magic - will see him through to many Godlike victories in the seasons ahead.
