Once a member of Vaida's Raiders and one of Bern's famous Wyvern Riders, Heath deserted with the rest of his company when they refused to slaughter innocent civilians as per the schemings of a power-hungry general. Framed then for the murders, the Raiders fled for Lycia while Vaida herself remained as distraction... but only Heath made it out alive. Afterwards, he joined Eubans' mercenary troops, seeking work. In the end, however, he proved to be too kindhearted for the life of a mercenary; when Eubans lead an assault against Eliwood's company near Ostia, Heath chose rather to defect, unwilling to attack women and children.
