Renault hoped to bring back his lost comrade...but alas, all he brought was terror and mayhem. He secluded himself on the Dread Isle, and not until the final battle did Eliwood and crew stumble upon his abode. Ready to finally overcome his past, Renault, now a bishop seeking redemption, joined the group, and was able to finally come to grips with his past by helping to defeat Nergal.

Renault, though once and still a mighty mercenary with extreme skill with a blade, still prefers to battle with the power of light, still trying to atone for his past. Though his reluctance to take up the blade again relegates him to Light, rest assured, with his past settled, Renault will strive to regain the prestige he once had.
