A sarcastic mage who oversees all the daily functions of the Greil Mercenaries, Soren is a skilled tactician as well. While he may come off as cold, it's only because that's the way he -wants- people to see him. Can't run a band of mercenaries on warm-fuzzy-feelings after all!

Soren was accepted into the Greil Mercenary Guild at an early age, when Ike and Greil found him in Gallia, the country of feline Laguz. Soren was born a Branded - a child of a Beorc and a Laguz, with the mark on his forehead a permanent disfigurement announcing his status to any Laguz who met him. A dying sage who took him in after Soren's relatives abused him mistook the mark for a Spirit Charmer's - thinking Soren had great magical potential. Soren learned a great deal from the sage in a short time and worked hard to repay Greil's kindness for taking him in, though never quite opened up to the rest of the 'Greil Mercenary Family'.

Soren combines his powerful elemental magic affinities and his Adept ability to double-act with great skill in a duel and is looking to advance in the rankings no matter what tactics he may have to use...
