Raised by the King of Baron as if he were the King's own son, Cecil's loyalty to his liege was unwaverable. As a Dark Knight and Captain of the Red Wings, he served his kingdom with honor and courage. But then the King changed, and demanded the slaughter of innocents to capture the World's crystals, and even the massacre of the entire village of Mist... and Cecil realized that he could no longer abide to follow such villainous orders. On that day Cecil betrayed his homeland and fought instead in defense of the innocents of the world. Putting aside the vows he made as a Dark Knight, Cecil became a Paladin to better protect his world.

The light has served Cecil well in the Duelling League as well, as he has seen much success in the brutally competitive Heavy Division. He has defeated several foul villains along the way, and even managed to reach the finals once.
