Head of the Shinra Space Program, Palmer is a living joke, kept on the board presumably so the President had someone to mock rather than because of any skill or professional respect. Oddly, Palmer is actually perfectly competent in battle; his... ample frame providing him some measure of durability, yet allowing him astounding mobility, and his Mako Gun cuts down the enemy. Of course, getting the Duelling League to respect you is no easy task, and indeed Palmer has still had awful luck in the Arena, including a truly legendary loss to the songstress Shiho. It is a tragic tale, but perhaps someday people will see beyond the bulk and recognize Palmer for the skilled warrior that he is.
