Squall Leonheart comes from a long line of heroes who smite their enemies with giant swords. He’s a hardened warrior even at his young age, although it could be argued that he’s a little touched in the head. While struggling with the desire to murder all of his inept traveling mates, Squall tries his hardest to be cool and collected. Well, then he gets involved in some sort of scheme to destroy a sorceress, finds out that all of his slightly psychotic friends were secretly people he knew since childhood and randomly lost their memories because of the Guardian Forces, falls in love with this really crazy chick whose dad locked her inside of her own house, finds his real father, gets sent to space, and then travels back in time through the power of friendship. Sounds exciting, huh? Well, it turns Squall into more of an angst machine than a badass, so something must have been terribly wrong with it. But Squall somehow survives and lives to fight another day... And with his 100% critical rate and perfect accuracy backed by Renzokuken, that’s exactly what he’ll do in the DL!

His DL record is easily the brightest of his cast's. After losses to the Norgardian king Vaynard and superspy Nash Latkje, Squall caught a break by champing Middle and upgrading to Heavy. A seemingly dead cast rises from the ashes to take apart Middle systematically, and he finally proves himself worthy of being considered FF8's best PC.
