The little mage who could is an apt a nickname for Vivi Orniter as it gets. The small mage's struggle in learning about the world and his own destiny while helping out his friends is an immense challenge, but Vivi never once blinks at what faces him.

Final Fantasy 9's Black Mage is a bit of a mystery in the area. Although he was outsmarted and outslugged by Justin, he managd to squeak out a win against Nash of Lunar fame, leaving people with very strong opinions of him. No matter for him, as he'll just tuck his hat down, trudge onward, and smite away with Flare or his status spell of the day.
