In Legend of Dragoon, old people reign supreme. For instance, Rose is over 10000 years old, and looks pretty damn good. Zieg Feld has barely any wrinkles, and yet he's not much younger. And Haschel, the aging martial artist, despite not even hitting triple digits yet, is just as tough as any young whippersnapper. Haschel's talent at punching things was honed from years of training while looking for his long-lost daughter - apparently, she didn't like the curfew he imposed on her back when she was dating that cute biker and ran away. Through years of fruitless search, Haschel practiced his art and eventually stumbled upon Dart and his companions, former acquaintences he joined up with to cure his boredom and perhaps magically stumble upon his daughter by accident (as tends to happen in most RPGs). However, throughout his adventure, he found nothing - except that his daughter might have actually given birth to Dart, which caused the martial artist severe mental trauma! However, upon reaching the moon and battling with an effigy of his daughter, Haschel finally came to realize that perhaps everything was for the best, and his newfound complacency allowed him to play a vital role in downing the horribly lame villain Melbu Frahma.
When last seen, he was trying to teach Kongol how to dance. So far, he hasn't been very successful.
With the power of the Violet Dragoon Spirit to back his punches of doom, Haschel's not an easy opponent to take down. Fast, respectably resilient for an old man and with his Destroyer Mace strengthening him as his opponent wounds him, Haschel's got everything it takes to make some noise wherever he fights. Though he's suffered a setback in his drop to Middle, rest assured, he won't be there for long.
