Dekar is, quite honestly, a bit of an idiot. He's also fanatically devoted to his Prince, and is rather surprisingly wise and caring! Still... that intelligence factor... yeah. Still, with his insane power and his durability, who needs to know how to read or any of that stuff? All he has to do is hit his opponent with his axe, and the opponent falls down. Easy enough! Sure, he's also slower than most (okay, it's debatable who wins in a footrace between him and Raquel), but his godly durability and the IP skills from his equipment easily make up for that and gives him the capability to fight extremely well in his division.
