Much like Gandalf or Merlin in books of fantasy have their place in their respective histories, Noah has his place in Phantasy Star history as the original Esper who faced down Dark Force ( despite what Rune might otherwise indicate ). Training under master Tarzimal in the depths of the caves of Motavia, Noah worked alone, garnering the knowledge of magic needed to combat the forces of darkness in the coming age of darkness under King Lassic's horrible rule. When approached by Alis Landale's group, Noah was very non-cooperative to begin with, but eventually, aided by a reassuring letter from the governor of Motavia, Noah joined Alis's group to fight alongside her in the battle to save Algol from the diabolical reign of King Lassic. Throughout the long quest, Noah grew in power, and finally opened his heart to others, eventually founding Esper Mansion on Dezoris, where a long line of Algol Guardians grew into great heroes.

Noah, being the original Esper mage, is a powerful master of magic, his most notable abilities being command of Thunder and Wind. But in addition to those skills, Noah can take a few hits, unlike his descendant Rune ( primarily due to his experience in the rugged lands of Motavia increasing his physical aptitude ). An original and unique fighter by all means, Noah's definitely out to make a name for original heroes everywhere.
