Power is everything. The craving for power corrupts souls, great and small. King Lassic is no exception to this rule. Once a great, peaceful, and respected king, the power of the Dark Side ( of Algol ) corrupted the poor man. His face twisted, his mind warped and body decayed, the king began ruling over Algol with an iron fist, crushing all people beneathe him who disobeyed. He, however, despite his power, made a mistake: by killing a man called Nero, he instrumented his own downfall. Alis Landale, the sister of that man, went out to avenge her brother, and eventually found herself at Lassic's throne. The king, surprised someone dared to challenge his might, fought back, but was defeated, his soul fading to nothing for one-thousand years. Revived again as the Profound Darkness began rearing its ugly head on the system of Algol, Lassic ( now going by the name of Lashiec ) now challenged a new hero, Chaz Ashley, as well as Noah's last descendant, Rune, to the final battle beneathe his former glorious Air Castle home. Defeated once again by the powers of light, the tormented soul of Lashiec was put to rest forever, finally finding peace.
Lassic has grown in power, even during his "death" after being defeated by Alis. His Thunder Halberd, deadly in the past, is even stronger than before, which Chaz can attest to. Also, learning several new abilities greatly aids him in the DL - Another Gate, distorting the fields of time around his foes; Possession, luring the weak-willed to sleep; and Reinforce, channeling Profound Darknesses power into himself, turning him into a true master of darkness. With this much power, it's easy to see why Lashiec is nearly a Godlike, and surprising that he hasn't taken a championship yet. Rest assured, though, he will be back - darkness never dies, but is merely obscured by the light.
