Raised under the watchful eyes of the Dunan Unification War heroes, Freed and Yoshino Yamamoto, Sanae is a dilligent and disciplined warrior despite her young age. Finding Radat insufficient for her training, she travels the world with her naginata, in the hopes of honing her skills like a certain street fighter. Well, except that she wears glasses instead of a bandanna. And their styles of fighting are completely different. And she doesn't obssessively follow the "The Fight is All" credo. And the fact that she's a cute little girl and not a muscle bound martial artist. So really, she's not like Ryu at all, but that doesn't mean she can't whip people around the arena with the best of them.
