Voted second most likely Island Republic citizen to be lynched to death in a Suikoden convention (beaten only by Snowe), Axel isn't exactly the most-liked character around. Then again, helping the obvious enemy, throwing the heroes in jail, and being a general pompous ass would do that to anyone. Oh, and the entire elf hatred thing, but that's understandable considering how most pre-Toran Republic elves are pricks.

Well, at least he can back up his boasts about his strength. While lacking finesse most DL swordsmen have, he has enough strength to make his piece of metal hurt a lot if you don't get away in time.
