Though she was the Princess of Guardiana and her father's heir, Anri was sent to the neighboring town of Manarina to study magic. While this unfortunately meant that she could not be at her father's side when the armies of Runefaust invaded, her training was not in vain, as she joined Max's Shining Force, the last remnant of Guardiana's armed forces. Her powerful ice magic proved instrumental in the Shining Force's campaign to defeat Runefaust and avenge her father, thereby restoring peace to the land.

Anri's fortunes have not been good in the Duelling League, as she drew an opponent who nulled all of her magic in her first match. This lead to an unfortunate downgrade to Light, but the Princess of Guardiana hopes to claw her way back into her original division someday.
