Patriarch Sergius XVII might look like a normal elderly man, perhaps like a gingerly grandfather figure, but that couldn’t be a more stereotyped – and completely wrong perception of this Xenosaga villain. He is shrewd and willing to go as far as necessary to extend his ambition as the leader of Ormus, from sacrificing lives to obtain the Zohar to creating Proto Omega. He is a very nasty man to his core, and doesn’t really care about anything besides getting more and more power, and he will step on anyone in his way of doing so. He is eventually found out though, and is forced to fight against Shion and company.
