The New Life This was definitely a change for the better - Zidane actually appeared to have successfully renounced being a pervert. This change resonated throughout the DL, with the entire population divided neatly into three camps - people that wanted to give him a chance, people who hated him for other reasons, and people that were still suspicious of him. Granted, he had Garnet along with him to keep him in check most of the time, but, surprisingly, this wasn't needed much (other than a few knocks on the head at times of extreme weakness). A legacy was about to end... ...And this was having strange, inexplicable results for the rest of the DL. Sten was being hospitalized instead of just critically wounded on sight. Lexis's machines started backfiring more often than usual. Most of Charmles' vast fortune was stolen, with the thieves never found. Even Edge wound up critically failing in most of his attempts at even minor perversion. -------------------- "I'm telling you, something's wrong!" Edge exclaimed. "I haven't had this many problems in...Well, ever!" His panicked flailing nearly knocked over his drink. Yuri - who, for some odd reason, was less affected by this phenomenon - kept trying to calm Edge down. "Hey, relax, it could just be back luck," he said, biting into a hamburger. "No! There is something wrong with the universe, and I am determined to find out what!" Lexis rolled his eyes from across the table (he was invited for the free food and questions about commissions), but came across a sight out the window. Zidane was walking up the street, carrying a stack of packages so high that there was no way he could see over them. He walked straight into Tifa, causing himself to stagger and knocking her to the ground. Lexis chuckled, and pulled Yuri's attention away from Edge to watch what he expected to be a good show. Zidane merely shifted the load to his prehensile tail, put out a hand to help Tifa up, and went on his way (with Wakaba hopping out of his path). Yuri, from inside the restaurant let his jaw drop for a LONG while. "Yuri? Yuri? Hello, multiverse to Yuri!" Edge said, noticing his friend's blank gaze. "Huh, oh... Uh, Edge? You remember the fiasco in Season XXX, right?" Yuri said, sounding a bit concerned. "Only what you told me about it," Edge said, wondering why the conversation had switched gears so quickly. "Right, well... The normal flow of perversion suddenly went out of whack when you went out of mental commission, and Zidane, the top "dark side" pervert, you could say, benefited the most from it. It's quite possible that since Zidane's stopped being a pervert... That the normal flow is messing up again, and it's starting to be wiped from the DL," Lexis explained. "It is possible that if Zidane doesn't become a pervert again, we could have a repeat of that...incident on our hands." "Wow...I actually understood that," Edge said. "Yeah, I've been giving Lexis classes in speaking general English, so it's not all technobabble." "In any case, we must get Zidane to become a pervert again!" Edge said, swinging his arm up... Straight into the chest of one of the waitresses. She seemed to not care until she set the drinks she was carrying down, then smashed Edge in the back of the head with the tray. Edge, with his face in the table, spoke again. "We attack tonight. Right after I get this healed. We need to make Zidane ever forget that he wanted to stop being a pervert!" -------------------- Sten was still recovering in the infirmary after his match with Meg, but it was nearly time for him to be discharged. Besides, all the nurses were getting tired of dealing with him. The rest of the group had surrounded Sten, each with their own injuries in the pool. "We need to get our leader back. This isn't right - we shouldn't be failing so badly. Since I get out of here today, I say we try getting Zidane back as our leader tonight! Who's with me?" And with that, all present nodded, and made plans for the night. -------------------- Early that evening... Garnet was throwing a small party. Nothing big, but it did have a good amount of entertainment. Considering his recent behavior, Garnet didn't worry much about Zidane pulling any tricks, and had invited several people. Cecilia Lynn Adlehyde, Terra Branford, Chris Lightfellow, and Rosa Harvey had already arrived, and Yuna and Lulu were expected to come later. It was a decent party... Until Edge fell through the ceiling. There were a lot of shrieks, until Yuri, Lexis, and Brey all barged in as well. Then it just became pandemonium. "Relax, ladies. We just came for Zidane." "Why, what's he done?" Garnet asked. "I'll take care of any problems myself." "Sorry, that information is confidential. Now just step aside, we'll be gone before long." -------------------- "All right, everyone good with the plan?" Sten asked in a field behind the place. "We get in, get Zidane, and get out. We don't want to risk anything with how wacky the luck has been as of late." And so, Sten and the rest of the group stormed the back door of the place, effectively breaking down the door, and searching for Zidane. -------------------- "Sorry, but you'll have to go through me before you get to Zidane...And I'm sure everyone else isn't too happy about you crashing our little party, either." -------------------- "Zidane! Finally! There you are!" Sten yelled, running towards his former fellow pervert. "What are you doing in here?" Zidane asked, suspicious of the reception. "We've come to take you back!" Valygar exclaimed, coming in the room behind Sten. "Sorry, but I'm not going back. After losing out on that paradise, it's just not worth it anymore," Zidane said, preparing for a fight. "...If you won't come back, then we'll make you come back!" Sten shouted, readying himself for battle. |

Magic Fanatic There was a massive struggle to be had, with each side giving it their all to not lose - Garnet to protect Zidane, Edge and company to try to return perversion to normality, Zidane to actually succeed in not being a total pervert, and Sten to get his leader back. It was poetic, really. The random blastings that came afterwards stole this away into a annihilation, as all the girls were mad and more powerful than ever, pounding all that stood before them into a fine paste. And so, after getting that mess taken care of, the party continued, with Yuna and Lulu disappointed that they missed out on a part of the festivities. ---------------------------------- Zidane's fight, however, was more odd. Oh, sure, it was nothing less than a crushing defeat for Sten and company. After all of Sten's help had been disabled, he finally realized that Zidane wasn't coming back. "W-w-w-why... Why are you..." Sten stuttered, backing up against a wall. The fear was evident in his eyes as he backed up against a wall with Zidane staring down at him in disdain. True, he had no escape and could be easily destroyed, but Zidane had different idea. "Look, Sten, I'm tired of it. After losing out on that paradise near the end of last season, being a pervert just doesn't really do anything for me anymore," Zidane said, with an almost tired look in his eye. Sten looked on with confusion, not quite getting the full meaning of what Zidane was saying. "Look, you can take my spot, I don't care," Zidane said, bringing his blade to point straight at Sten. "Just get out before I stop being nice." And so Sten ran away. But that was not the only effect of that night. When Zidane bequeathed his position to Sten, he also gave almost all of his pervertedness to Sten. As a result? That moment was the rise of ultra-pervert Sten, and the retirement of Zidane the lecher, not to mention the natural balance of pervertedness going back to normal on its own, with a source of pervertedness being transferred instead of just disappearing. ---------------------------------- "Why are we doing this again?" Edge asked, just handing over a name card that said 'Sir Edge Geraldine' to a random store NPC. "Because it's the court order... And considering that it seemed so easy to accomplish, you agreed to it," Yuri stated, handing over cards that said 'Mr. Yuri Hyuga.' Of course the girls filed suit against them for attempted perversion (yes, that is a fileable crime in the DL), and Mewtwo (who didn't particularly feel like being bothered that day) made his ruling against the perverts. The only end result to that was Chisato occasionally beating in Yuri's face for the close-to Naruto reference, and half the DL thinking Edge was trying to impersonate Edward, who repeatedly claimed that name was Gilbert Chris von Muir.
