Season 25, Week 5
Sephiroth
(Final Fantasy VII) 		 
The most famous silver-haired bishie villain of all time has effortlessly crushed everyone in his way. The Perfect SOLDIER is fully prepared to win the championship with his nearly unmatched speed, power and accuracy, the combination of which will make this battle just another easy victory for him. One wing attack will take down the frail summoner either with paralysis or a simple kill, and Sephiroth will claim the title he truly deserves yet again.

 Another season has passed, and the gentle summoner of Spira makes her ways to the finals yet again. And no one-winged angel will keep her from another victory! Yuna may not get the first strike, but all she has to do to win is avoid Sephiroth's deadly wing slash. Once that ordeal's done, her faithful aeons will certainly sweep Sephiroth. For the good of her land and the Duelling League, this kind pilgrim will fight - with all her spirits!

Sephiroth smirked. Another championship in the bag. The second Yuna walked into the ring, he'd gut her with the Masamune before she could possibly summon one her famed aeons, and the fight would be his.

Just then, he heard a shout from behind and reflexively dropped into a roll to the right, leaving Tidus's sudden attack to connect with nothing but air. Rising again in a single motion, the Perfect SOLDIER identified his assailant and promptly dispatched the Blitzer with a Shadow Flare, knocking him clear out of the arena. But something was wrong; Tidus hadn't been looking at Sephiroth in horror, but off to the side expectantly.

Sephiroth quickly redirected his attention, but it was too late. Yuna was in the ring and she had already summoned Anima. With Tidus's assistance, she had decided to disqualify herself and win the moral victory rather than lose immediately as she ought.

His smirk quickly changing to a grimace, Sephiroth eyed the judges, who were making no move to interfere. Surely he would be awarded the match later, but apparently the audience would be happy to see the champion get roughed up a bit first, illegally or not. So be it; they'd get more of a show than they'd bargained for.

Exploding with rage, Sephiroth leapt up to the sealed judges's box, slicing through the protective glass and exposing the terrified judges within. Riou, Chaz, and Lulu scrambled to defend themselves; Sephiroth's blade cleaved straight through the first to clang against the second's rising sword. Before the startled Chaz could regain his composure, the incredibly lithe Sephiroth had ducked beneath his sword, bringing the Masamune around behind him to spiral upwards at Chaz's heart. Lulu had barely risen but made a fairly nimble sidestep to dodge Sephiroth's incoming vertical slash; fortunately, this had only been a feint, luring Lulu directly into his second and fatal slash.

As the last judge fell scant seconds after the assault had begun, the entire judges' box was roasted by Fire3, reminding Sephiroth of Anima's presence below. As the fire spread, Sephriroth made a second leap directly across the arena, then turned to the aeon, who hadn't yet reacted to his shift in position. Falling upon Anima, he sliced it in half lengthwise before delivering the now-exposed Yuna his trademark impalation from behind.

Sephiroth glared up at the stunned audience before slowly retracting his blade, turning, and walking out of the arena, which was quickly being consumed by the spreading flames. Next time, perhaps the foolish summoner would make sure that her opponents didn't have illegal and unstoppable movie forms to adopt before she set out to humiliate them.

Normally, Sephiroth would cast Wall right off the bat when confronted with a challenger of unknown capabilities. This would be his undoing, as Yuna would summon Bahamut or Anima and proceed to blow him away in two hits. But, since Sephiroth has been watching the RPGDL for some time, Yuna's abilities are *not* unknown to the spawn of Jenova, and he simply beats the Savior of Spira down with his mighty wing, paralyzing her if not outright slaying her.

Tide
Yuna tends not to lose if given a turn. 7 Aeons plus being formidable herself as a dueller means that in a long prolonged fight, she can beat almost anybody. The only thing that she worries about is extremely accurate physicals.

Unfortunately for her Sephiroth's physical is more or less similar to Kefka's Havoc Wing in power and accuracy. And he's faster. And we all know how well it turned out the last time she went against someone like THAT...

And thus we are introducted once again to a 5 letter word that starts with a 'S' and can promptly sum up everything I've written and all of Seph's matches this season.

Lyndis
Sephiroth casts Wall. Yuna summons an Aeon. Sephiroth dies under the barrage of what is essentially a team of heavies and godlikes. Yuna nabs the championship again.

Therefore, it is only fitting that another Fire Emblem character also grace the championship diamond with her, as Lady Lyndis did back at season 14. Well, that, and mediocre character with counters >>> mediocre character without counters. Forde beats Chisato into submission. That fight was gleefully recorded by Morte. After the match, the entore BtS crew disappeared for a while to save themselves from becoming one of Chisato's punching bags.

The battle between Yuna and Sephiroth will be decided by one simple fact. Yuna equips a staff. An we all know what happens to staff users who fight Sephiroth. Yuna gets pwned. Unless by some sheer chance she has anything with first-strike. In which case the Magus Sisters will beat Sephiroth into a cold dark oblivion. That is of course assuming that Yuna can get them to do anything usefull at all.

Now is Yuna's time to prove the theory of evolution by defeating a relic from a past time, Sephiroth. Yuna can cast holy without any real effort, unlike Aeris, and so Yuna cast a spell to raise her magic defense and defense, as well as regen, followed up by holy, nothing sephiroth can throw at her works, she summon's Anima with grand summon and Anima unleashes his 99,999 damage overdrive attack and thus Yuna brings home the full point.
