Season 32, Week 2
Orlandu, Cidolfas
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

The aptly-named Thundergod Cid charges back onto the battle field. While the formidable field general hasn't been active in the league of late, he's been busy with side projects. Much to the chargin of Godlike, he's done with those and ready for some combat. Purim's a nice warm-up for that. Both frail and reliant on MP for her skills, she's the perfect target for Orlandu to light up. Holy Explosion and Dark Sword can both cripple here, so it's merely a matter of what he chooses to use to win this fight. Excalibur in hand, he'll be ready to claim another victory and get warmed up for a run at his second Godlike title.

It's about time Purim got her chance to prove herself as a Godlike! After being dropped to Heavy a few seasons ago, the girl punched her way back up to her rightful place, but was thrown to the wayside after that. Now she's finally getting her shot, and there's nothing that can stop her, not even Orlandu! Cid may be faster than she is, but he can't do a darn thing to stop her from getting a turn. Even Dark and Night Sword won't incapacitate her entirely. All she needs is one turn to either stop Cid in his tracks with Balloon or light him up with Blaze Wall. Either way, the old man won't get to see a second turn!

Orlandu waited patiently as the young lass entered the arena. "Well, then, my lady... Care to resign now, and save us all some time?" The girl shook her head, then motioned to the judges to start the match. Orlandu laughed, and hefted his sword.

Only to get mowed down by Ultima, Fire 2, and Drain spells from the suddenly flying warrior maiden.

"You dyed Terra's hair and sent her in for you? Man, and you call me cheap!" Popoi muttered.

"Oh, shush. Terra wanted to have some fun, so I decided, hey, why not?" Purim chuckled as she leaned back in her recliner and watched the massacre.

"...So. What was the deal?"

"She gets to mow down Orlandu, and I get to date that man with the cute moustache." Purim said. "He's dreeeeeeeeeamy..."

"Cyan wouldn't go anywhere near you, girl." Popoi scoffed.

"Who said anything about Cyan?!?" Purim yelled angrily. "Keep your opinions to yourself!"

"...Right. I'll be... ah, over here, by the, ah, window." Popoi scurried away, leaving Purim to her fantasies. "Mmmm, Banon..."
