The God-Emperor of the Fou Empire has come head to head with his other half once more. This time, though, Ryu doesn't have a bunch of his friends around to help him defend against Soul Rend, and while Fou-Lu's boss form doesn't have access to the myriad dragons that Ryu does, Fou-Lu does have something much more important: Obscene HP and incredibly damaging attacks. The power of the Tyrant dragon will be much too much for his other half to take, and, as the God-Emperor would say, "He hath bitten off too much to chew this time."

It's a clash of the Endless this week as the two halves of the Yorae Dragon face each other! While Ryu is outclassed in the speed department by his older alter ego, he can still transform and get a single attack off from each of his six dragon forms before they fall to the dreaded Soul Rend, then follow that up with the healing and high damage of his powerful Evocation abilities. Whether or not this will be enough to win, it'll be a dang good fight.

Ryu looked carefully over the equation that his Master Momo had written for him on his last trip to Wyndia.
FL + R = infinity, where FL > R.
He also used Momo's latest invention, 'instant replay', to look over the tapes of the last time he had faced off against his other half. With every agonizing blow that Ryu absorbed on the tape, the live version blanched a bit more. Especially when he realized that the only reason he hadn't liquified at that battle was the assistance of Nina and the others.
Assistance which was patently illegal in his upcoming match.
So, operating under Lord Yuna's mantra of 'He who lives and runs away, doesn't die', Ryu calmly made as much distance between himself and Fou-Lu as was possible in one week.
Fou-Lu: 21
Ryu: 0

Fou-lu as usual, started a long dramatic speech to Ryu. This time, though, Ryu didn't have Nina's Emotional Support to get him through, and likewise, Ryu4 just got absorbed into Fou-lu, and now, Fou-lu has become his Golden Haired Bishie self he always wanted to be.

Realizing that there is no way that he can beat Fou-Lu alone, Ryu decides to merge with the other half of the Yorae dragon in hopes that his extra strength will help Fou-Lu win another RPGDL championship.
