Season 14, Week 3
Ryu
(Breath of Fire IV)

With excellent speed and durability coupled with full healing and assorted immunities, Nate Nanjo isn't exactly the type of opponent Ryu likes fighting. the defending champion is far from worried, though. His nigh-immunity to status means he can easily stave off a single status attempt from Nate, and then the fun begins. He'll open with his Punk form's Stardrop Breath, followed by a quick tranformation into Kaiser or Weyr. With his stats utterly ruined, Nate can do little to stop a stream of Kaiserbreaths or Might-powered physicals from flying his way, crushing him before he can heal.

Nate Nanjo has a brilliant mind and a keen apprecation for irony. This means he feels only amusement, not fear, as he faces the RPGDL's reigning Godlike champion. Sure, the dragon somehow outlasted the might of Indalecio and Myria by relying on his remarkably durable Kaiser Dragon morph and outlasting. Such tactics are useless against Nate, who has far more healing than Ryu does turns in Kaiser. All the Speed Racer must do is take a single hit from Ryu, heal, and repeat as needed. Fou-Lu's other half shall die as he lived - on the blade and durability of a fighter built for the long haul.

Oblivion Knight
Ryu, well-known for transforming into world-devastating dragons, was in high spirits. After all, he'd crushed many, many more capable opponents in the past season, and week alone, than a simple rich kid. What could possibly go wrong, he thought? He was in such a good mood, in fact, that he decided to take his friend Jecht's advice, and go out drinking.

So, it wasn't very surprising that, when Ryu tried to transform into the all-mighty Kaiser dragon, he instead turned into a Kaiser roll. Nate simply walked up to the mighty roll, took one look at it, and kicked it out of the arena.

"What is this? A joke?" Nate asked, and then turned and walked out of the arena himself.

THE MORAL OF THIS STORY: Drinking and driving is a dangerous thing. Drinking and morphing...well, you might go on a roll, but it won't last long.
