Ryu the Third has never come so close to a Godlike championship, and he's prepared to draw upon all of his vast powers to get past his final hurdle. With Protectors and a Barrier Ring shielding him from the worst of Zophar's status attacks, Ryu can easily survive to transform into Kaiser or Tiamat. He will then start an offensive blitz with destructive attacks like Kaiserbreath, Doomwave, and Bonebreak; if Zophar's magical onslaught becomes too much to handle, Barrier will help temper it. As long as he's wise about picking the right transformations at the right time, Ryu's draconic powers will be far too much for Zophar to handle.

At long last, a mere man stands between the Destroyer of the Blue Star and his rightful Godlike championship. Ryu may count among the mightiest of the DL's puny mortals, but how could a single mortal stop Zophar? Ryu's dragon forms cause a great strain on his body and mind, leaving him vulnerable to mental draining and depletion of vital energies. Of course, Zophar may prefer the more straightforward method of simply destroying the fool with his dreaded Fate Storm. None of Ryu's myriad dragon forms can weather Zophar's signature attack, so it's just a matter of time before Ryu is reduced to a bloody smear on the ground - with nothing to hide behind.

Ryu III is in a prime position to beat Zophar. He effectively has infinite lives as long as he doesn't run out of MP, and can do some serious damage with the relatively cheap Myrmidon form, or Mammoth, which might have enough HP to take a Fate Storm.
Ryu: 33
Zophar: 23

Zophar was incredibly hard with a five team party. Myria was only difficult with a three team party. Even though you have all those dragon genes you will run out of mp. Zophar had the hp to take Triple Sword, Catastrophe and Blue Dragon Palm countless times. Ryu's mp won't last long enogh to cut through his hp.

One of the best PCs against one of the best bosses...hmmmm....right. I can't wait until Zophar gets to fight worker 8 next season in the first round, because I know you guys are cruel enough to do it!

The God of Destruction versus the Dragon Saviour, whom has already struck down one diety. This should be an epic battle, one to shake the world that hosts this epic rumble.
It should, 'cept for one thing: Zophar's in his fourth battle in a row, and in his fourth form. A broken bit of Zophar skeleton isn't very threatening to human Ryu, let alone Kaiser.
Splut goes the baddie.
