An insane god bent on destroying the world with the powers of the Dragon Orb. Yawn.. It's just another day for master hunter Elc, Heavy Champion and general badass. Taking down Loki's a high-profile job, worthy of his talents. His unique Magic Canceller's just the thing to slow down Loki's magical assault - even Indiscriminate turns into a mere tickle after having its power halved. Elc will go all-out early, with Divide hitting Loki's bad MDef and healing Elc more than enough to win. If things get too intense, well.. Elc always has Invincible to fall back on, giving him countless turns of invulnerability to work his deadly skills against this foulest of foes.

AHAHAHA! The mad god of trickery is back in the DL! Holding the power of Indiscriminate, the perfection that is his physical defense, and the almighty terror of the Dragon Orb, Loki shall wreak havoc upon the lowly mortals who call themselves "Godlikes". And the first victim is... a mere human freshly upgraded from Heavy!? How delightful! Loki's incredible power shall rip Elc apart limb from limb. And if he tries to get fancy with Invincible, the Dragon Orb grants Loki the defense to wait it out and crush the pitiful mercenary like the bug he is. The slayer of Odin wants to claim the Godlike belt he so richly deserves. And nothing shall stand in his way!

Elc and Loki are both gentlemen.
Okay, so they can fake it.
At any rate, they had decided to settle their combat in the most refined, dignified and intelligent manner possible.
Yes, a mud-wrestling contest!
Yes, Opera was a judge that day.
However, ultimately, everyone wins this match.
Mostly because, due to various hurled insults and slander and "Arc the Lad? HA! Your cast can't beat Kain!" and "Oh yeah!? At least we have skillsets and can all beat Jogurt!", the entire casts of Valkyrie Profile and Arc the Lad 2 entered the arena.
There's probably something there for everyone, even if it's just someone like Llewelyn getting drowned in a pit of mud. (Talk about impressively bad at swimming.)
And, while ultimately, Loki lost, losing due to being distracted by a half-naked Mystina, Freya, Lenneth, Shante, and Lieza managing somehow to end up just behind Elc, Loki fans might recognize that there are, indeed, worse reasons to lose.
God have mercy on your very soul if what you enjoy out of that is the Chongara vs Badrach no-holds-barred mud-wrestling brawl, though.
Elc: 42
Loki: 31
