As soon as one flaming boss goes down, another one just has to step up and challenge Elc! Haven’t these suckers learned not to cross the true master of fire, the Godhunter Elc? Well, Elc certainly doesn’t mind pounding the lesson into a few more thick heads. With his superior speed, Elc can easily get up the all-powerful Invincible spell before Heat gets a chance to stop him, and then he can use his wide-ranging Divide spell to carve up both Heat and his tentacles. Even if Heat ever does get a chance to hurt Elc, all his attacks will be like mere pinches against Elc’s Magic Canceler. This Godhunter will show Heat the true power of the inferno!

Heat didn't absorb both demonic and divine power just for show. He did it for strength, and strength is what he got. Really, no one can stop him now, especially not some human mercenary who used to be in Heavy. Elc may be quick, tough and versatile, but he’s not strong. None of Elc's moves can one-hit a tentacle, and on the rare occasions when he manages to wear both of them down, Heat will just regrow them. With no fear of damage, Heat can simply exhaust Elc, then freeze him solid with Gelid Torrent, or just turn him to ash with Inferno Roar. Elc will prove not to be quite the master of invincibility he thought he was.

The fight was...taking...so...long...
Elc was casting spell after spell to maintain himself, beating against the durable shell that was Heat's tentacle barrier. But it was taking longer.
And longer.
And longer.
And this time he didn't have any help.
No, this long battle would last ages, it would take years, it would encompass his entire life, it would...

"Why'd Elc just start foaming at the mouth?" Poco asked, stunned, as Elc, after staring for a moment after his fourtieth attack, simply collapsed.
"...flashbacks." Sania said grimly. "It's so sad that we had to use him as bait against the Dark One. He just can't handle fights that long, anymore. The memories get to him."
Elc: 24
Heat: 28
