Sorry, old man. Kurando respects his opponent's vigor, but he's quite simply outmached. Straight-on damage? Kurando shrugs it off and goes for the jugular with his ultimate fusion. MP-busting? Accomplishes nothing as Kurando uses physicals for the most part anyway. Status? Good luck pulling that off before you're dead! Kurando has a counter for basically anything Orlandu can attempt, which is no mean feat. Haste is neat and all but there's not a whole lot he's going to be able to do with it. When it comes right down to it even the Thunder God himself can't handle a Harmonixer as powerful as Kurando.

Thundergod Cid's a veteran, both of the endless conflicts of Ivalice and countless battles in the DL arena. The former Godlike champion has countless weapons at his disposal in which to slaughter Kurando and drive such demonic nonsense out of this land. Destroying his armor, his weapon, his MP? All are easily done with a use of All Swordskill, Cid's all-encompassing skillset. Night Sword keeps Cid's health staunchly supported while draining the life out of Kurando's monstrous form with an almost resplendent ease. The power of a Harmonixer is but naught against the strength of Count Cidolfas Orlandu!
superaielman It was easy. Too easy. Kurando's powers were impressive, but no match for the power of the Thundergod. No shenanigans, hijinks, or other disapproved behavior happened much to the disappointment of the crowd.
When Count Orlandu inquired where the usual three ring circus was off to, the schedule makers pointed to Edge's appearance in Heavy. Cid was just happy to be spared the headache of Edge for once.
Kurando Inugami: 8
Orlandu, Cidolfas: 42
Baofu Thundergod Cid is a legend on the battlefield, but even he's never faced a true demon; those Zodiacs don't count.
Inugami is one of the few people who can tank Orlandu's powerful strikes, so TG Cid will be eating the flat of that big, hunky sword of Kurando's.
