Luca's twisted version of justice was served. The Highland King has avenged himself against that mewling piglet, Riou, and now seeks to teach Sephiroth a painful lesson or three about respect. Luca holds his usual durability and speed edge, and the raw insanity that fuelled a nation's downfall and the death of thousands is not about to be stopped by a single blow. Even if the One-Winged Angel takes to the skies, it would hardly be like Luca to simply sit back and take his punishment without trying his hand at a flying leap or two. Highland's last prince will make sure Sephiroth remembers this battle, and the man who fights without fear. |

This week, the Perfect SOLDIER's insanity may well be outshone by his foe. Not that Sephiroth is going to be intimidated; while Luca Blight may have slaughtered hundreds, Sephiroth still has RPGdom's most famous spoiler notched on his kill list. It won't, however, be his infamous katana that will be put to work against the Highland Prince's formidable armour, but rather his powerful defence-piercing magic attack, Shadow Flare. Furthermore, with his damage-halving Wall spell giving a rare chance for one to tip the durability scales against Luca, and his own excellent speed keeping pace with his opponent's triple attacks, Sephiroth looks to have an excellent chance of returning for a third time to the Godlike semi-finals. |
AAA With probably two of the most famous madmen(only Kefka, I believe, eclipses them) in all of RPG history squaring off, you would expect a very bloody confrontation, wouldn't you? At the least, it would be a very interesting affair, as Sephiroth's megalomania and Luca's all-consuming rage would spark into a giant clash of brute strength and subtle sorcery. Dissapointingly, the match quickly ended up being a lopsided affair as Luca futily hacked away at Sephiroth under Wall, until eventually Sephiroth managed to send Luca packing. Luca Blight: 18
