If he weren't such an egotistical madman, Seymour might be a little nervous at this match. After all, his present opponent's fighting style has striking similarities to that of the Summoner who finally Sent the half-Guado from undeath. But the Maester's confidence is hardly groundless. Ryu's fourth incarnation may have myriad dragon forms to rely on, but they certainly can't match up with Yuna's battalion of Aeons. Even Ryu's one advantage, his annoying fire resistance, can be quickly rendered moot by Seymour's ability to shift elements. The Maester's victory is trivial after that; it's a simple matter of relying on his usual strengths, his outstanding defences and his deadly quadracast, to see him past his draconic foe.

Far more than just another PC trying to scrounge up wins in Godlike, the Yorae dragon is now the emblem of the power of Light and Good vanquishing evil! Having already felled two infamous nutcases bent on destroying the universe, Ryu now takes aim at yet another evil - this time a maniac seeking immortality. His Unsent opponent is formidable, but Ryu remains confident that good shall prevail; with innate Fire resistance to put a damper on Seymour's quadracast and Aura Smash to pound right through the Maester's lofty defence scores, the Endless is one of the few in Godlike who can match Seymour blow for blow. The vengeance-seeking Ryu is only one win from facing Myria; he can't fail now.
