Season 39, Week 1
Tidus
(Final Fantasy X)

The famous Blitzball player from Zanarkand returns once again to prove his might in the Dueling League, and in Godlike, no less! His father has had a rather dismal record in Godlike so far, coming in 20 seasons before, but Tidus plans to make a name for himself with great ease here. Tidus is naturally swift with a sword, easily gaining many turns over the much slower sorceress. An opening of Haste to compliment that innate speed will get Tidus’ speed game going strong, followed by generous use of Quick Hit to bat this “Time Kompressor” back into her own dimension with ridiculous ease. Blitz Ace will also be a gracious finisher with tons of damage that Ultimecia just won’t be able to deal with, even with her vaunted durability. Even IF Ultimecia gets a turn, she’ll still be taking even more damage than before with the Caladbolg’s Magic Counter. Godlike Champion Tidus is only a Jecht Shot away!

Kurse these foolish mortal Heavies, thinking they kan face off against the great sorceress Ultimecia in their first Godlike appearance. The nerve! Oft-maligned and konsidered a weak competitor, there is still little doubt of Ultimecia's rank. Her monstrous resilience and mixture of powerful magics are just the thing to teach the recently upgraded Tardus some respekt for his superiors. While Tardus is much quiker than his magikal matriarkhal opponent, Ultimecia's resilience is something all Godlikes envy, allowing her to resist any punishment dished out. Perhaps even worse for Tardus to deal with is Ultimecia's mixed magikal arsenal, powerful spells such as Apokalypse, Meltdown and Holy, spells that break through his protektive Evade and Kounter with no diffikulty. A few kastings of any of her magiks will teach the brat a lesson in respekt, and nothing Tardus kan do will stave off his demise.

Kurse those young, foolish teenage heroes.

Kurse them all!

Ultimekia may have foolishly underestimated the kruel, idiotic teenagers, onke before, but never again!

---

Tidus blinked, confused.

He had been about to fight, then Ultimecia had done...something...and...

Wait...why was everything so tall?

"Ya idiot, aren't you listening?" Jecht said to Tidus, as he towered over him. "I said fetch me a damned beer!"

Tidus suddenly realized where he was.

In his own past. And as a child.

His scream of rage might have been heard across time.

"...That's really not le..." Johnny drifted off, as the other two judges, Violetta and Kratos, let out contented snores. "...Great, they put the new judge on the match that doesn't matter, and something that matters happens..."

Kyogre, the fourth judge, in his custom-designed box, let out a contented sound that may also have been a snore-equivalent.

"...They really didn't care much about this match, did they..." Johnny shook his head. "Oh well, if no one cares, I guess Ultimecia wins."

Tidus: 26
Ultimecia: 61
