Season 40, Week 3
Altima
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

What greater struggle is there than a holy angel versus an unstoppable being of destruction? Well, flip it into an evil angel and you're right on track! A clash of the titans begins now, with the angel Altima throwing her dreaded Ultima magics against the machinations of Lavos. Altima will win by dint of her superior offense with Ultima as well as her counters against his own power. For each time she is hurt, her magic will strengthen in power, inexorably gaining momentum. With this, every hit Lavos lands will be part of his undoing, part of his plummet back into the mantle of the earth as a broken husk. With that descent, the ruler of the Zodiac Demons will advance onward, to come closer to claiming her long denied championship, proving the might of St. Ajora.

Well, one punk ass kid demolished, and now back to the masterfully titanic battles between world devouring evils that Lavos is here for in the first place. Unfortunately, he now gets to go beat up the proverbial 'tagalong kid' of this particular club. Well, okay, maybe she's not that bad. Altima *is* rather famous for her deluge of status effects with the Grand Cross spell. Altima is also famous for...um...gimme a second here...All-Ultima, maybe? It kinda hurts. Not nearly as much as, say, Lavos's own Crying Heavens attack, of course. And that's about all that matters here. As a fellow boss, Lavos just immunes the dreaded Grand Cross in it's entirety, and beats the snot out of the Ivalician angle with lightning. And hey, that worked out well for Jade last time, didn't it?

SnowFire
Didn't one of these two actually succeed at devouring and conquering the world? And put Howard Dean's scream to shame while doing so?
