Season 14, Week 2
Geshp
(Shining Force 2)

Geshp is out for redemption; after losing to an inferior opponent in his last apperance, few fighters can match his thirst for a win. Yuna's powerful Aeons mean a lot more in a fight than Serge's eternal youthful spirit, but now he hits a weakness that he couldn’t last time: Yuna is a lovely young lady, and evil deformed villains do nothing better than prey on poor, innocent girls. After careful planning (and making sure Tidus has a Blitzball match to go off to), Geshp will surely get what he desires! Yet another beautiful maiden shall fall into the clutches of a demon…

Spira's last High Summoner had faced plenty of villains on her path to cleansing the world of Sin, most of them at least slightly more troubling than the Greater Devil who now stands before her. Geshp relies entirely on ice spells and evadable physicals, a poor combination for dealing with Yuna even before her Aeons come into play. Summoning the evasive and ice-absorbant Shiva will make for an easy win, but barriers, healing, and the powerful Holy spell means that Yuna can easily take this without help. Either way, it looks like a fine season's start for one of Godlike's finest PCs.

The cliche thing to say here would be that Geshp would be better off not showing up.

However, Geshp, being an evil demon, had a better plan. Namely, buying up large amounts of injury insurance before the match, and hiring Cristo and a couple of Ninas to heal him up afterwards.

Sure, Geshp had to live through a few moments of pain as Bahamut crushed him. However, he's far, far richer for it...
