Season 20, Week 4
Roufas
(SaGa Frontier)

As his victory against Hiro proved, Roufas possesses all the power, resources, and coolheadedness to excel in Heavy. Having defeated a religious leader and the bane of Zophar, Roufas now focuses on taking out a much more minor threat. Despite her superior speed, Kanon is incapable of killing Roufas before he buffs up with Awakening. Not only will this one spell turn Kanon's deadly blows into mere scratches, it will also make Roufas's Lifesprinkler that much stronger. With Mindheal and Deflect further rendering Kanon's offense worthless, Roufas is well on his way to a win - and the Heavy finals.

Three weeks and two victories into the season, Kanon finds herself in the vying for a spot in the Heavy finals. Not bad for a former Middle. After a failed genetic experiment, this match is something much more familiar: a battle of mercenary against mercenary. Against Roufas's experience and prowess, Kanon will need all her skills and deadly Gat attacks at full power if she wants to win. With a dash of speed, mechanical know-how and sharp slashes, she might just be able to do it - and then she'll be one step closer to becoming the first character to rise from Middle to Godlike!

Life is hard on mechanical people. Even those that just use a few parts.

Roufas was on the ropes from Kanon's onslaught. His healing was keeping him up, but he wasn't dodging her attacks enough, and he wasn't getting a chance to counter attack.

Then Kanon stopped attacking, blinked once, and fell over. Then a massive explosion was seen in the sky.

Lexis Shaia was later arrested for nuclear testing without a license.

(He was trying for cold fusion. He succeeded, but unfortunatly, his success blew up his labratory, and all his notes.)

Unfortunatly, none of this helped Kanon, who was defeated by the massive electromagnetic shockwave from the explosion.

It's okay, she promptly sued the person who added her bionic parts for a few hundred million. Improper shielding endangering her life. And magic is good for fallout, so no one was really hurt.

As for Roufas, he managed to get the best pictures of his life. Every man looks their best with shades on, a sword in hand, and a massive nuclear explosion behind them, wouldn't you say?
